bluger0711 Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 Hello! I have changed a file name of a specific mod in my game directory because to make sure the mod works properly I had to change the load order. Therefore I changed the name from mod.archive to 1_mod.archive (for example). Vortex is giving me an error because it is confused now. To get rid of the error message (every time I installed a new mod it appeared again) I made the same change in my staging folder as well so the file name is also 1_mod.archive instead of mod.archive. The error message is gone, the mod still works in-game but I hope I will not get trouble for instance if I wanted to update the mod at some point. Is there a "better" approach to change file names of mods manually while using Vortex? Greetings bluger

bluger0711 Posted February 18, 2024 Author Posted February 18, 2024 If I would have changed the file name in the staging folder first: Does Vortex copy the file with the same name automatically in the game directory?
showler Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 You would need to deploy the files again. 1
