YouTubers posting rage videos? Oh, Say it ain't so. 😄

Any excuse to inflame their fans, and get those clicks, that line their pockets. I may not agree with all of Nexus policies, but, I have zero desire to make a video about it. 😄

Tbf life is one big rage bait. Just breathing infuriates some people

First, allowing political mods will drive away far more people than banning them.  Past experience shows what a mess happens when those types of mods are allowed.

Second, no one who has ever complained about these decisions has EVER shown any willingness to put in the work or money required to make an alternative site to Nexus Mods, and none of these past "tempests in a teapot" moments has EVER resulted in a decrease in Nexus Mods' user base.  There is zero risk to Nexus Mods in banning political mods.

Twitter said the same thing, Theres now multiple companies eating away at their income, Bluesky the most successful and is seeing stable growth while twitter is stagnating. You can live in your own bubble as long as you want the statistics show the opposite about what you say. Its not even about political mods, There is numerous other examples of Nexus being anti-consumer but i wont get into them as this thread will be closed

real time line....we ban the trump mod and people get mad/make it public so we have to go and delete biden mods so it looks like we are not biased

Nope. That's the rage bait timeline which isn't based on reality or facts.

Ever thought about just allowing political mods?

Thought about it? Yes. But after going through 8 years of extremely toxic election years, we know what happens and we know what to expect. There was a bit during the Bush and Obama era but it wasn't anything like the last 8 years has been.

Showler is correct when he says the backlash (and workload, and mental strain) from allowing the political mods to stay up is worse than the backlash from a few rage-baiters having a cry in their YouTube videos.

So political mods are not allowed, we know this... But socio-political mods are very much allowed apparently, not only that but they are allowed in only one direction... Easiest example, the mod that removed the pronoun selection from Starfield was taken down, but the mods in Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered that turn all the US flags into game to Pride flags still exists.

Elon Musk buying twitter was the worst thing that could happen to it. He is the one responsible for twitter going to the gophers. (I want insult dogs by associating them with Musk.....) He changed all the rules, several times, and what you see now is the result of him not being able to make up his mind. I won't miss twitter.

Correct.  Now work on understanding why there's a difference.

It's all your fault for refusing to call it X.  If you just called it X then it would be super cool and solve all the incredibly obvious problems.

Terribly sorry 'bout that. My bad. I will atempt (kinda) to refer to that train wreck properly in the future. 😄
