Absolutely incredible. They Deleted it, Presumably to hide their awful response. Real transparent and open to discussion, guys. I keep seeing staff talking about intents and "You just need to trust us" and then this is how you're aiming to gain that trust? If you're wondering why sentiment and response is growing hostile, stuff like this is why.

I came here with criticism of a change to a service I pay(ed, yearly memberships get a bit foggy like that I guess) for, and so far I've been insulted, had my position, opinion and preferences strawman'd and attacked (FUD and other "just suck it up and you'll like it" responses), and when others started to point out how I'd been insulted, it was deleted. Now I can't even trust that any of the stuff I'm reading here is actually representative of anything, who knows what other responses and valid points have been deleted and buried.

Hey @chefsbrian, I'm sorry this is the impression you've got. We're a small team returning from the weekend, hence a bit less comms on this thread. We've been reviewing and logging all the feedback so far, I'm happy to discuss any specific issues you have. 😀

Speaking of feedback, I mentioned a few pages back that the new site appears to be delivering a much smaller icon than I would normally expect. Even the forum is delivering a higher resolution icon:

I don't know about Chromium-based browsers, but Firefox occasionally uses the delivered icon in larger UI elements, such as a list of commonly visited pages that shows up when you open a new tab. It does not look particularly great in such contexts:

Great catch, I'll log this with the team tomorrow.

In terms of specific details, those screenshots were taken in Firefox 136.0.2 (x64) on a half-screened browser window at 150% scaling. The monitor in question is 3840x2160, and 150% scale is the Windows default (and recommended) scaling due to pixel density versus screen size affecting readability.

I wonder why they saw that as negative or repetitive if its was my first feedback post?

You posted on the "feedback.nexusmods.com" site.  The purpose of that site is to allow people to post suggestions and for other people to upvote them to get an idea of how popular the suggestion is.  If multiple, functionally identical, suggestions exist then the votes get split between them and it waters down the effort to get a total number of supporters.

They have ALWAYS, ever since that site was opened, closed down duplicate suggestions and aggregated the votes under a single one of the suggestions in order to try and keep some sense in the numbers they are looking at.

The site is designed to work this way.  When you are typing in your suggestion it lists "similar suggestions" below the text entry box so that you can see if anyone else has made the same suggestion and upvote that instead of making a duplicate.

When something controversial like this comes up the site gets flooded with people making duplicate suggestions and the whole thing becomes a big mess.  I'm guessing that's why they seem to have given up on that site entirely.

It's kind of funny how some of the staff that are defending these awful changes joined the Nexus in 2022, 2023, and 2024, while the people complaining go back as far as 2008.

Not really? We already know that Nexus hired people specifically to redesign the website, so the account join dates track with what we know about the work being done.

So they hired people to make things worse? Is it too late to send in my resume? I excel at making things worse, you could call it my passion.

Actions speak louder than words, people!

If you're like me and don't like this change and want them to listen to us and revert it back or give an option to opt back to old UI do the following:

• Cancel premium (if you have it)
• Don't download any mods from here
• Don't upload any mods here
• If you have uploaded mods already, hide/remove them
