MattyKaratty
I've never actually been furious at a UI Change until I saw this one a week and a half ago. As tiring as it is to hear "Bring the Old UI Back" it genuinely is preferable to this new UI. It had personality and imo a fairly iconic look to it, and it feels like it got thanked for its service by getting taken out the back and shot in favor of a pretty bland and cookie cutter UI Imo. This new UI has such a boring and minimalist look to it that it feels less like I'm browsing nexus and more like I'm browsing a site where I need to do a virus scan after using it.
Chiffa37
New UI is awful, it reeks of soulless generic corporate minimalist slop, please bring the old one back.

I want to know what feedback catches your eye and what doesn't. I'm seeing them start to care about contrast these days. I believe I read that the option to change the default page or toggle specific content (in my case, it's Popular Collections) is planned, I'm not sure if I misread them though. I'd say twice about Popular Collections for visibility, I know it's a favorite of casual users and Nexus, but how much sense do you think it would make to have the top two Collections on permanent display there? Please just put them normally like More Mods and Media, and add the option to move them under More Mods or Media. To be clear, I don't like Collections but putting that aside, I am giving feedback on this discussion, Mod Browsing Overhaul, and this is a discussion, I would rather it be answered than ignored, even if my feedback is dismissed. My question is whether this kind of feedback was passed on to staff? (I don't mind if you answer this the way I suggested in the first line) Expand The Community team are working a long-form post to address lots of the points of feedback raised in here, which will be shared soon. The Monthly Roundup will also have a more detailed list of what we're still working on (there's a lot). It'll also include a list of changes made so far, in case they've been missed and need calling out (lots of backend changes to search, for example, which might not be immediately obvious).

I don't use them, never will use them; my choice of mods is a personal thing and will almost certainly not mix with a collection. An option to toggle off that section and replace with another row of mods would be much better. I know you guys want to promote collections, but judging by what I've read in this topic, many people are just not interested and would appreciate a toggle-off feature. For the most part I was perfectly happy with how it used to look, with each game having its own distinct colour scheme. It made Nexus look unique. Now it looks more like 4867246845684526 other corporate websites, monochrome and dull, with much wasted space. Oh, and the split wor ds Cringe! Sorry guys, but it really is! Expand They're not going to do that. We're getting this new UI, like it or not. They'll make slight tweaks here and there, but I doubt it will be of any significance that will actually make me want to spend the same amount of time browsing mods as before the change. None of this really surprises me in the least, I knew it was going to be like this, I was just hoping I'd be wrong for a change. And with that, I'm done. I'll check the Nexus from time to time to read and if need be, respond to any comments on mods I've uploaded, maybe check out new mods that I've heard about. Who knows? At some point, there might be enough meaningful changes to the UI and the search feature that will actually make me spend as much time as I used to, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. 4

Expand This right here, is perfectly worded, and I share the same opinion. I personally think a lot of users probably think the same way. Right now the site-traffic will stay kinda the same probably, because for certain games, there aren't a lot of alternatives. But if nothing is changed, users (and modders) will probably find a new home for their mods, and the site-traffic will slow down over time. I just hope the staff will be able to turn the tide if something like that happens, as I've seen it happen with a few other very specific and niche websites. They kinda just faded away. Seeing the response a few posts above yours, does show that there are gears turning, I'm curious to see what news the staff will bring us. I don't think the changes can be reversed, but I'm hoping then can recreate the old format, look and feel of the website. It may be gradually, but thats always better then nothing.
Ilithyn
I've been using the Skyrim SE, Stardew, and BG3 parts of this site for years now and no I have seen zero banners in that period. I use Firefox which I know is not a popular browser so maybe we were just purposefully left out, but it still feels really insulting. I'm genuinely wondering how long I can keep using this site as they did something with the background colour and fonts, so now reading anything here gives me severe eyestrain to the degree I'm risking a migraine from reading through this thread. I see no option to adapt the font or colours to something less stressful, which you would think would be standard in an "update" Skyrim SE is now a full on middle finger to any mod creator who is new or just not hyper popular, as well as to those of us who just like to try out new stuff, as you have to scroll for days before getting to the "New Mods" section. Everything else, apart from the colour scheme and font, I can learn to live with though it might annoy me, but that feels like a deliberate and purposeful slap in the face to anyone not part of the popular clique.

Expand Hey, regarding the eye strain, there's a stylus(a incredible easy to use browser extension) format for the normal nexus page and this forum to turn the colors into the old gray colors if you look back a few pages. They make these sites so much better to use and haven't experienced any migraine myself yet unlike before. Unfortunately it seems they will keep the incredible dark colors. But hopefully they will consider some lighter theme option as suggested.
