There are already ads. I use an ad-blocker though, so, I don't seem 'em. (that, and I *think* "supporters" aren't supposed to be served ads as well..... nor are premium members.) Bear in mind, Nexus wasn't always the juggernaut it is today. There was LOTS of competition at one point. Most of those sites were larger, and better funded than Nexus at the time as well. Please take note whom is still standing, after all the larger companies have faded from the scene..... 1

We aren't even a drop in the ocean.... Even if EVERYONE in this thread canceled their premium subscription, I doubt it would even be a blip on the balance sheet. So yeah. Robin can ignore everything we have to say, and be confident that any consequences, will be minor at best, but, most likely, not even noticeable..... It would require 23000+ people to cancel their subscriptions before it would even start affecting the site's actual revenue. Until then, it only eats into the $300,000+ a month they donate to mod authors.

It means you can choose if you want to search "everything", "mods", "games", "users", etc. by default without having to click the button to choose which search you want.
