Mod Browsing Overhaul Discussion

I can understand the motivation to revamp the mod page appearance. However, I have a hard time understanding some "changes" or "features":

CONS

1. The "Trending Mods" section is too large and almost distracting. Have the section at the top, but make it collapsed by default. Or, make the section optional.

2. "Popular Collections" sections makes me think, "Why? Why? Why?" I know both mod users and mod authors have expressed their desire for this element to be removed. At the very least, make it optional (site settings/preferences). Or, make this section collapsed by default.

3. The main page seems to be designed around "mobile" formats, which does not seem to be an intuitive decision. That said, when I am modding a PC game, I am actively using a PC, not a phone.

4. Clicking the buttons under "More Mods", especially "New" and "Updated" should open the next page. Scrolling to the bottom to hit "View More Mods" is less intuitive. (See point 3 regarding having the UI designed for phones.)

The above written: There are elements/changes I do enjoy.

PROS

1. When you get past the main page, and have loaded the secondary page (new mods or updated mods), the page has a better aesthetic and/or feel. The navigation and functionality of the page are more appropriate. 

2 From the secondary page, I enjoy the ability to select language support. This helps clean up the mod search page.

Apparently it's the all new site layout, hate it personally Though should probably caveat that comment with the fact I abhor all change, but still, hate it!

Honestly, since the new interface update I forgot how to install mods.

For me the option to search for mods is just completely gone, anyone else? I also cant sort them for any categories except trending, new or popular.

IS there a way to revert back to the old look? This is inferior to the older version by far.

I cant search for mods at all, i just get a list that includes everything ever released dropped into my face and i am expected to  sort through them ._.

Hello!

So after these layout changes (why "fix" something that was working really well..?) i suddenly find that the option to search for mods, or their categories, is just completely gone. Suddenly i am expected to sort through all the mods ever released for a game to find what i am looking for and i do not think this is a good state

Is this a bug?

Your page must be seriously broken.  Can you provide screenshots?
