Misc. Would love a way to go back to the old UI, even if it never gets updated with new features.

I don't even understand why a new UI was made. The old UI was perfect and so far majority of the people seem like they want the old UI back. If it isn't broken, then don't fix it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

okay I understand you guys worked hard on this new UI but a lot of people myself included do not like the new Ui and the new features. The Ui is so complicated and so laggy it makes me not even want to mod my games anymore. Please give us back the previous UI look so I can mod my games again.

The new search UI was already terrible and now it's worse - I have to specify I'm searching for a mod every time now or I have to sort through games, mods, collections, images, videos, and users ? I've been a subscriber for quite some time, if you're going to make the site harder to use, I'm keeping my money.

If it were up to me, I would fire the team, or the person who came up with this awful downgrade of an interface, and I would refuse to write them a letter of recommendation to help them find another job.

This site now looks like a bunch of Kids run it, designed it, and who just learned about CMS systems like JOOMLA or DRUPAL, and were given a budget, to buy some “Cool Plugins” for those systems and implemented them because they “LOOKED COOL and AWESOME” without considering usability and function.

I don't know which college courses teach UIX design, but they must all be run by Google, because they're the masters of making their awful UIs just outright stupid, and convoluted, and take two to three times the number of clicks to do something, while making the interface give LESS information while doubling and tripling the clicks to get there.

Would be great if someone can upload a pic of the old design so everyone can compare a little easier. Mod list seems most affected (filters used to be at the top, cannot scroll anymore, only five columns two rows at 2560x1440p)

Unfortunately there's over 20 million registered users, more than 97% of which have not commented in the forums specifically the UI.

I don't like a single thing about it and if I could go back I would.

I don't get why it's such a common trend that devs strike gold the first time with the UI then slap it with the absolute worst ideas that come to mind.

Discord did it recently and now Nexusmods.

Because designers wants to keep their jobs. One of the issue with design is that once the website is done, you don't need them as much anymore. But they still need to put food on the table. So rather than have them do nothing, they have them "re-design" stuff.
The second issue is that many website use this more "loose" design rather than the usual tight one. It's not a bad design, but it is mostly better for children, old people and phone users. But the result is that many designer will shoehorn it into any website regardless of target audience. It's good UI design, but in their case a poor UX design since children shouldn't be on nexus alone, old people are a dime a dozen and the main audience is PC users.
