JimboUK
Could you link to some of this misleading stuff to clear up some of the confusion?

And my question is still WHY???? What does it matter where the image came from, if it doesn't relate to the mod???

Hey, can you link some examples of proper use of AI generated thumbnails here? It's easier and safer. I don't want to attack any specific mod author by publicly discussing it. I don't see how this will prove or disprove that they're being used to mislead but OK... https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/149646 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/149580 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/149558 These are the first three mods with what look like AI thumbnails that I came across, none are misleading because they're on mods that can't really be represented visually, and putting unrelated images on these kinds of mods is nothing new. I can see where it could be used to mislead, for example someone using AI imagery to give the impression that their ugly looking follower looks like a supermodel, but things like that should be reported. Do you see that 2 of the 3 you showed have the AI-Generated Content tag? That's fine, and that's exactly what I and the OP want. Quote I can see where it could be used to mislead, for example someone using AI imagery to give the impression that their ugly looking follower looks like a supermodel, but things like that should be reported. Yes we should report these things. What if someone uses AI to make up their face for a thumbnail for their follower mod? What if someone uses AI to make a graphics overhaul mod look better than what it actually does? This also applies to some extent when users mistakenly believe that armor in an AI-generated thumbnail is an actual mod, but this example is redundant, I know. Well I've used up all my energy. I don't want to put in the effort to argue with people who don't see this as an issue, because you'll probably never agree and I'm not sure if my bad English explained the issue well enough. So you like AI-generated thumbnails? Well I don't, so I'll answer "WHY?" in a simple way, but please understand that I'm not just talking about my preferences here. Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted May 11 Community Manager Share Posted May 11 I don't think there's a particular easy way to tell if an image is AI automatically so you might be better off just blocking authors who use AI images in their mods if it's that big a problem. Yes, I can, as always. But this was just the suggestion I voted for, and no one was talking about automating AI generated image detection. See OP's post, thanks. I chose mods by what the DO, not what they look like.......

Those tags themselves could be considered misleading because as far as I can tell the mods themselves don't contain AI content, only the thumbnails which aren't part of the mod.
