Burger King was was an awesome hangover cure though at least, or something dirty when your out. At least when you got a whopper you could have some decent salad on it and the fries where crunchy, or at least it was in my area. when you get McDs round my area the salad is always always soggy and shite and the chips might as well be play-doh (yeah it's corn I know)

Oh and the burgers are made from brown and salt

We call it "Hungry Jacks" over here in Aus. It's far better than McDonalds and their deep fried lettuce (long running joke between siblings and myself).

I had Burger King when I was in Italy and it was more or less the same as H.J.'s, though a lot more greasy.

I haven't been to Mickey D's in almost two years and then it was with my son-in-law. The reason I quit was because they could never get my order correct. It was usually something small and not worth the drive back. However, the last trip to Mickey D's was in Orlando, FL and even there the order was wrong. So it wasn't just my local store. Burger King maybe once a year. For chicken, it's Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen.

I'm a little spoiled because I live on the outskirts of Melbourne, which is one of the world's great food cities. Nonetheless I've learned that when you live surrounded by farms, always go Mom N Pop. The reason is, the big chains all import their produce from China and India, which means by the time you eat it, it's been freeze-dried so many times not even a botanist could tell you whether that's lettuce, tomato, or cardboard. There's a whole bunch of really great smaller places around though-they buy their produce direct from the local farmers, and as expensive as it is, the taste more than makes up for it. Plus, most of them use free-range produce, and I've never been able to stomach eating cage-farmed. They also cook their base ingredients, like buns, mince and bases themselves-which makes a vast difference.

I'm willing to pay $20 for a burger if it's a burger worthy of the price-especially since it's propping up one of Australia's few remaining local industries. And besides, most of the burgers are worth the price. Another example is down on the corner is a little place called Mr Pizza, same local trick again and they make their own bases during the day. There's just no comparing a pizza that's served to you while the base is still warm from the oven, and is made from ingredients that come out of boxes carrying the logos of farms you pass on the way to work. Sure, it costs all of three times as much as a Dominoes and they don't deliver, but it really is $18 worth of pizza. Big thing, about a metre across.

We also have union Burger here, its a higher end chain, no drive through, and you have a waiting line and pagers to tell you when the food is ready. Higher quality and real meat.

Technically its not really fast food, waiting for 15 minutes for it to be ready.
