Uhm. Okay. So my family got a check from PECOVER V. EA (because of the whole Madden/NFL/NCAA monopoly lawsuit bulls***). Honestly, I find the whole thing stupid (just because EA and the NFL had a deal does NOT mean no one else can make football games, but apparently no one has the creativity to make up a different league), but it is a check for $25.

They are two different organizations who had a deal, I understand where people think EA was wrong, but that's total bulls***. So does the NFL have no control over their logos, etc. that they are not allowed to only let the company they want produce games featuring them? I mean, the teams and the league are copyrighted aren't they?

I really feel like people approve of it because the feel the need to harass EA. Get the f*** over it people, they are a company, companies are composed of human beings, human beings make mistakes, and the purpose of a company IS to make money despite whatever f***ing imaginary world you live in where people should make things and not give a s*** about earnings.

And why the f*** now, after how many years of them producing sports games? And really, HOW MANY DIFFERENT SPORTS GAMES DO YOU NEED?! Isn't one company making the majority (there are other games, i.e. Backbreaker. And hey, they manage to not use any NFL teams) good enough? How different will a sports game be coming from company A vs. company B? There's only so many things you can do with a game like that.

Blah blah blah, whatever. I don't normally play sports games anyways. It just seems utterly stupid to me.

I think owning a franchise-league like that is rediculous, reminds me of the Porsche fiasco with EA and Polyphony, but doesn't deny the fact Project Cars Officially has it in there game. I wonder if there is some real bitter rivalry between the companies, because the final word has it is with the manufacturer or team behind.

If the company behind it played it smart allowed anyone to use it, more advertising the better i always say.

I agree, a company should definitely allow more than one group to use it's stuff (Yay, more money), but if they don't want to, then they legally have the right to not allow them to. I suppose maybe because the NFL is THE league, then it's kind of a problem, but again, how hard is it to come up with your own league name and team names to go with it? Obviously the league name would have Football in it.
World Football Association. Wow, that was so hard. Except that worldwide football would be soccer, so that's kind of a dumb name if you think about it, but why think? It's too difficult.
Franklin Rabbits (because every professional football player wants to be on the team called the Rabbits). Oh my god my brain hurts because that was so difficult.

So Assetto Corsa got free DLC today. Three cars two tracks, but it's the patch itself which was the best thing. When you're using a steering wheel controller the game has "force feedback" which applies resistance and "weight" to the wheel based on in-game action. Well, the patch massively improved the Force Feedback, making it hugely more violent and visceral. It's by far the most realistic depiction of what car racing feels like, that I've ever seen in a video game-and that's about the highest praise I can give. But there's a problem. This is an Italian game, and whenever the Italians do anything to do with cars, they do it brilliantly but always forget something important. In this case they forgot to warn the players that they'd tripled the force-feedback strength. As a result I wasn't wearing gloves, and have abrasions on both hands and a huge bruise on my thumb from where the steering wheel basically decided to murder me.

Still, it's an incredible game to play-superbly designed, brilliant graphics and there's nothing more the developers can do to make it more realistic except by exposing the players to 120 degree Farenheit temperatures and inertial forces equal to fives times standard gravity.

Okay... I just got two phone calls within ten minutes from two different numbers that were local, but not anyone I know. Both had noises and people talking in the background, the first I didn't hear anyone say anything directly over the phone, and the second I'm 90% certain someone started shushing everyone because it suddenly got silent and I said, "Hello?"
The girl who was on the phone said something fast that I didn't understand, aside from the last phrase which was something like, "Oh my god, I love you!"
And then whoever it was hung up.

The Legendary Deathclaw is no match for me and my grenade launcher.

Ok, another story: I was talking to this guy today, and we somehow started talking about The Elder Scrolls. He asked me how long I had been an Elder Scrolls fan for, and I said since 2003. He then looked at me like I was stupid and said, "Skyrim has only been out for 2 years."
