i went full out with Skyrim

using Fxaa injector-rcrn-urlo-enb custom.

The out come is quite nice, the fxaa gives colour at night while the others leaves the day realistic yet believable at the same time. With the ultra realistic lighting gives that deep colour look when the fxaa injector is enabled.

Looks nice Thor! I like the night particularly.
Of course I run Skyrim on low-medium without any textures (besides for characters!) or anything like that so anything looks better than mine. I actually tortured my laptop by installing an ENB (Somber I believe, I was just looking at images and saw it) the other day (as well as turning up to ultra), just to see what would happen.
And because my animations are running fast and it's really annoying to play like that anyway, so why not stop playing and make pretties instead.

I really want to just get to Dragonborn already. I've been playing Mount & Blade (which I've had for... I don't know how long and never really played it much until now) and it's yet another game that makes me despise combat in TES series even more.

Also, the whole ENB thing obviously didn't work out. lol. I think the game was running at .02 fps

Earlier this year, I tweaked the heck out of Skyrim and managed to get it running at 40+ fps with an ENB, full resolution (1600x900) and the settings on High. Not bad for a laptop, if I say so. Ever since I reinstalled it though, I can't make it look nice (and run good) any more. :sad:

Ah well, at least I have Oblivion. With a few mods, it can look pretty darn good.

Still, I sometimes miss Skyrim. I wish I had Thor's computer! :P

It's that part of the year when there's absolutely nothing on TV so I've been slowly watching my way through a pile of movies I've wanted to see during the year but didn't get the chance. Tonight's was Django Unchained, and while I've got a couple more to work through, thus far it's the best I've watched all year by some margin. If you can handle Quentin Tarantino levels of gore, go see it, it's brilliant.

As a sidenote, it's the only movie I've watched(other than various Hitchcocks) in which the creator actually made an appearance. Tarantino is actually in the movie as one of the bad guys-and dies in a truly epic fashion. I sort of wish more directors would do that-not only insert themselves into the action, but do so in such a hilarious way.

That is a great film, and thinking about it I can't remember one where tarantino didn't get himself killed in his own films. I guess that's one of the many things that sets him apart from the rest, some will do a cheeky cameo but easily go unnoticed which is...kinda pointless - didn't know peter jackson appeared in all the LOTR films until I watched behind the scenes
