The last poster wins

I've nearly finished Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Even after I decided to play as the body double Jack it only took a couple of extra hours to get nearly all the way where I had with Wilhelm. Woo Hoo! :woot:

I've always wanted to find out what handsome men act like and the real Jack keeps reminding me I am a body double. Even Moxxie saw right through my double because; and this is what she said, "I know you're not the real Jack. You're not drooling enough!"

I only had 45 hours because I didn't do most of the side-quests. There's way too many!

I didn't like The Winter Palace. I felt confined and claustrophobic for some reason. I was so glad to be free of that place! I only got like 3 halla statues and about 5 scandals... I just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.

Is the Hissing Wastes the desert at night-time? The one where you can disrupt the Venatori activity? I believe that one is just a side-quest. Although, you can obtain lots of power from there so it's worth the cost to unlock it.

I've only killed 2 dragons, mostly because I only found 2. I have no idea where the other ones are (I looked, too) so I assume that I have to start side-quests or something to make them appear. That, or it's glitched.

In my first playthrough, I had Cassandra, Varric and The Iron Bull as my companions throughout the whole thing. I didn't need a mage. I don't really switch my companions in and out, though - I have one build that I pretty much just keep. I dunno who I'll take on my second playthrough...

Yeah, I heard that I spy one. I chuckled for a few minutes after it finished.

Mosiacs... I think I've only found like 10 in the whole game. It might be because I don't see objects that I can interact with unless my mouse is hovering over them, so I could have missed lots because of that. I wish stuff was highlighted so I could find everything...

I'm having a break from Dragon Age for now, but I doubt I'll be able to resist for long.

I definitely agree. I feel kind of like I will never finish this if I try to do everything. There's some really pointless quests too, like ones where you find a note that leads you to another note and that's the whole thing. Not saying I don't enjoy them, because I do. Mostly.

I was going to say that I didn't really like The Winter Palace in my post too. First off, they people there were a bunch of jerks (definitely some enjoyable moments though, like Cullen's "fans". The Iron Bull talking about the candied nuts or whatever reminded me of Grunt for some reason), and the second thing is that I was really pretty bad at it. I usually ask questions and apparently that's not a good thing to do during that section. I stopped after the first few times when I realized I would lose if I kept it up.

I believe that's what The Hissing Wastes is; I haven't started it but the war table says "stop Venatori activity". I don't know how much more power I need. I'm still on Here Lies the Abyss and going to Adamant costs 20. I have about 160 power.

Dragons should be pretty easy to find. A few that I've found have required war table things to be done (like repairing bridges, opening tunnels, etc.). I've killed 6 now and I think there is another in the same area I just killed one. Oh, actually one that I killed could only be accessed after a side quest. I think two (probably three if there is another one where I am now) required war table things.

I have a hard time picking my third companion because I really find The Iron Bull and Sera and Solas and occasionally Dorian funny. I just like Blackwall because he's a Grey Warden and that's kind of cool I guess, I can't really think of anything he's said that I really enjoyed. I'll probably stop taking him once I finish his little quest thing up. He keeps using all the potions. And I keep forgetting to change his settings/tactics so that he uses less. I seriously can't understand how he's taking so much damage. He has good armor, a good weapon (better than what Cassandra has), and skills that should help him stay alive. I mean, his specialization is all about taking damage. :wallbash:

Aside from mosaics, I also kind of hate the astrium things. I suck at connecting the dots apparently.

It's got a few really annoying issues on the PS3 though. Conversations hang occasionally. Character Record screen never completely loads and so you get stuck and have to turn off the whole console. And then there's the weird freezing where the sound is stripped away in layers (this also happens if you use the respec amulet thing, Tactician's Renewal or something?).

Actually, I just got stuck in the Character Record screen so my dragon count is 5 not 6 (I think). I forgot about that. These problems happen at the best times too. Like freezing after clearing a keep. Getting stuck after killing a dragon. "Dramatic" pauses in important conversations. Usually autosaves protect me from the freezing and character record problem, the pauses I just have to wait out. I guess these are more than likely PC issues too.

Well it's late and I'm taking my break from Dragon Age by sleeping but only because I probably have to redo my dragon fight. Okay, I'm actually kind of tired too.

Edit: Speaking of the whole Winter Palace thing and companions, I've made the mistake of selecting some apparently rude comments in some conversations without realizing they would turn out that way. It reminded me of this animation of SWTOR. I love the dialogue wheel, but there are some fairly ambiguous choices that lead to things you didn't mean to say.

Chat, chat, like a fan, a groupie. Bite it, beat it, whip it! Cram and jam. Spam-a-lot. Oh that game! I wasn't to blame. The horse was pushing the cart, so I had no hold on the reins.

Yeah, there really are too many pointless quests. The ones involving notes... I read the note, then don't ever think about it again.

I chose the middle dialogue option in the Winter Palace most of the time, since that seemed to garner court approval. I think I finished the Winter Palace with about 30-ish approval, which was alright but I did have 60 at one stage. By the way, I chose Gaspard as the new Emperor, mostly because I've read the books and I knew Celene wasn't a very good Empress. I considered choosing Briala for power, but I don't think she would have been able to control the human nobility.

160 POWER?! You'll be able to finish the rest of the game using that, without even having to do a single side-quest! And I thought I was powerful for having 50...

I have seen a few dragons flying around, but I didn't know where they went to. It's strange, though, since I've explored pretty much everywhere on all the maps and established all the camps. I suppose I need to go to the war table a bit more...

Out of everyone in my party... I think my character got KOed the most. But I was always leading the party so naturally, the enemies attacked me first. It's quite annoying when I'm trying to close a rift and one of those stinking fear demons attack me and RUIN IT!

Blackwall left the Inquisition in my playthrough. I'm not sure if you're up to the part with the Grey Wardens yet, so I'll put it in another spoiler.

I thought the Grey Wardens were too corrupted to fight Corypheus, so I exiled them. Blackwall didn't like that.

I managed to have a high approval rating from the rest of my companions, though. Even though I didn't take them anywhere!

Heh, I liked the astrium pedestals. The connect-the-dots thing required some thinking from my brain which the rest of the game didn't seem to require.

Yeah, I had quite a few crashes and hangs every so often. The most frequent annoyance was when I'd enter a cutscene and all the characters would be doing a T-pose, and then after the cutscene was finished, they would still be doing a T-pose and I had to restart the game. Oh well, it only happened about 3 times so it was manageable.

EDIT: And I just noticed that I use the :P smiley quite a lot!

"You will post no more in The Last Poster Wins"

... Unlikely.

I'm making the switch to SkyRE + PerMa today. I've been using Requiem for a long time, and while it's pretty good on the whole, I think it's time for a change.

EDIT: Seems to have been the right choice. Aside from the increase in performance, the combat is much more forgiving and more fun to play. In Requiem, if you didn't block even a single attack, you would die. It was stupid! Now, with SkyRE + PerMa + Duel, it's a lot better.

That was meant for me. I need to switch off some of my entertainment, because I pay for ISP service by the Gigabyte and I used 10 Gigabytes to download the recent DLC to my video game. $150.00 worth of Gigabytes.

Have a good life! :pirate:

And I hope I don't post at, "The Last Poster Wins", anymore. :pinch:
