loveme4whoiam Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Hey there y'all. A guy in my BF2 clan found this animation from the Steam forums and linked it to us all, and I think it'd be a fantastic addition to GS's own posting rules. Nothing rude, but pretty funny and it gets the point across. I guess that as long as we include a notice saying it's not made by us the guy who did make it should let us use it :D Oh yeah, the link . http://www.starterupsteve.com/swf/posting.html The guy whose hosting it there doesn't claim to have made it so I guess it's okay to use it. Enjoy.
Switch Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Haha, I've seen that before, but I hadn't thought of adding it to the rules thread. Maybe I will...
ThetaOrionis01 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Sadly, I think confusion might arise since our pinned threads aren't labelled 'READ FIRST'
Switch Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Hmm, that's a fair point... I'm not sure on this one. It may cause more confusion than anything. ^^; The Steam forums aren't exactly identical to these. It's up to Dark0ne, I guess.
Mercbird Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Good find ! Loveme.... Ive added It to my favourites and am gonna show every one. >pretends to be serious<I think the lack of read first may pose a problem. What about making it pop up if you create a new account?
Community Manager Dark0ne Posted November 23, 2005 Community Manager Posted November 23, 2005 I had thought of it since I think most of it have seen it before and liked it. But then again, it's for the Steam forums and there are subtle differences. And It's really not necessary.
loveme4whoiam Posted November 23, 2005 Author Posted November 23, 2005 Wow, everyone took me seriously, there's a self-esteem boost 8) I did forsee the Read First thing, and the fact that these aren't the Steam forums. Perhaps the guy who made it could do one for us *waits to see if he's takes seriously for a second time in a single conversation, approaching a record here*. Ah well, its a fun and instructive clip. I advise all newbies to peruse it and think how the lessons learned from it can be applied to our own dear forums.
