WhiskeyRiver2
DeeVee74 Actually brings up a good point about you basically being Glanton when going through Zion yourself... Not directly similar to him, as your PC doesn't go in with the express intention of killing kids and all that, but you're still acting as a willing participant in the genocide of a tribe. The player could go through the game for an unfathomable amount of time and still not have the opportunity to do something as close to the bone as Glanton is notorious for, but it would be a cool little nod if when we finally confronted Glanton he made a nod to the player's actions in Zion should that quest have been completed. Something along the lines of "Guess what I heard on the grapevine about you?" type situationHoly s***. I wasn't even thinking that. With the light-hearted moral dilemmas in the vanilla game, my courier has gotten zilch in the way of character development (it's easy to be a good guy; I think you literally need to just wipe out innocents en masse in order to be bad, there's no conflict), but with Someguy's mods, there's definitely been a change, and a lot of little personal atrocities witnessed and committed, so if old Glanty did a nihilist's 'holier than thou' routine, daaaammmnn. That would be quite something. Bravo, Pwinkle. All this assuming you chose to wipe out the white legs, cause you can escort the sorrows out of the valley too and not commit a genocide, they get killed by the legion either way, but hey, at least you can fake it a bit more convincingly. Plus, I didn't stab any babies while killing the white legs and persuaded graham to not kill Salt Upon Wounds, so we're not on the same level. Genocide? Yes, but not on babies. IMHO, you're ignoring the fact that the White Legs are, at their very core, nothing more than relatively well-organized raiders. I think most people would agree that a culture built around theft, murder, rape and God only knows what else kinda deserves to be wiped out. To quote sheriff Heck Tate from the book To Kill A Mockingbird - "There's some people ya just gotta shoot 'for ya can even say hello to 'em - and then some of 'em ain't worth the bullet it takes to shoot 'em." The White Legs fall into the latter group - they need to be wiped out, but the quickest way to do it may actually be -too- quick given the scope of their crimes. Guest deleted2159825
Ok, it's time for a proper update, and not just my burnout-inspired prevarication. For those of you who are tracking this mod, it is very much alive and well, though production has been stalled due to some delays with voice acting. From a writing/scripting standpoint, NVBIII was finished in August. If it weren't for VO and custom art assets, I could release it tonight. However, I'm not going to compromise on these features for such a large project. Based on player feedback and some recurring inquiries, I'd like to make a "seasonal" FAQ. When will NVBIII be released?I'm aiming for May. I figure a production timetable of one year is reasonable for such a sizable quest mod. Are you going to make more Youtube videos?Sweet Jesus-Zimmer, I feel guilty about that, but the truth is that I won't go near Youtube until I'm touched by the video-making spirit. I'm sure I'll get back around to it, but I can't say when. Will you continue modding FO:NV after NVBIII?Probably so, though that depends on the release of FO4 (and who the hell knows when that is coming?). NVBIII is a deliberately dark chapter in my series, and I'd like to finish on a moderately uplifting note, possibly with Sinners and Slaves, which could be knocked out in 3-5 months (it's not as large as NVBIII). I may crank out a few Skyrim mods after NVBIII to ramp up my skills in Papyrus, too. More on that below. So what the hell have you been doing these past months?I have stayed in contact with voice actors, periodically inputting raw audio into the GECK. Since the "creative" aspects of production wrapped up in the summer, I've spent some time writing Sinners and Slaves, in addition to catching up on books, films, and tv shows. Finally, I just finished my annual "Continuing Education" in Papyrus, and I'll be releasing a small quest mod for Skyrim within the next few weeks. What's this about Skyrim? Have you Forsaken us?!FO4 will almost certainly use Papyrus or something similar, and I want to hit the ground running when it ships in 2077. For me, the CK has a lot of advantages over the GECK (e.g., the scene system), but the differences in scripting necessitate some re-familiarization from time to time. In many ways, it's like starting over when I jump back into the CK, so my work is simple and straightforward, by and large. To be clear, this does not signal my "jump" to Skyrim. I favor the Fallout universe, but I do like to dabble in TES occasionally. After all, I began modding for Oblivion. I know that some modders take an either/or approach to each series, but my inclination is to follow my creative impulses, which sometimes lead to interesting productions. What is this abomination that you've made for Skyrim? Kill it with fire! The title is Unnatural Selection, which offers about an hour of quest content. It's like a blend of NVBI and NVK, with yet another "unique" questgiver, Roderick Redbeard, a homicidal yet jovial Nord. I will probably release a "Someguy Series" .esm for Skyrim as well, in anticipation of potential projects with overlapping plots/characters. However, "US" is a small, humorous mod that makes light of certain absurdities within Skyrim and the fantasy genre as a whole - it's nothing serious. The potential projects for the "other" Someguy Series are:- Unnatural Selection (Kill things in the name of the Companions)- Wrath of the Nord (Stormcloaks get in longboats and ravage Aldmeri territory)- Six Swords (Seven Samurai)- Immersive Idiots (A satire on everything that's right and wrong with Skyrim mods)- Blood Saga (Kill vampires)- Sverd Saga (Resolve clan disputes and blood feuds between savage, drunken Nords) You have just mentioned Skyrim in the production thread of a Fallout mod I've been waiting years for - you know you're dead to me, right?I claim the feral child defense. My attention span reflects my lupine upbringing. Oh, and I'm definitely Romulus (someone asked). Will you ever mod non-Bethesda games?I will take a hard look at Mount and Blade: Bannerlord when it comes out. Thank you for all the ongoing support, in spite of my hit-or-miss presence here at the Nexus. I imagine many of you are now familiar with my foibles, so I appreciate your continued encouragement. fredbob392
Said it before, I'll say it again, your mods are without a doubt the best written I've seen for the Fallout series, or any game really. They are more than worth the wait, and I can't wait to see your unique take on The Elder Scrolls!
daveKD
Is unnatural selection uploaded on Skyrim nexus or another project after NVB3? I must have missed it in the hotfiles since they're usually smeared with the plastic waifu crap that passes for FOTM over there.

I must have missed it in the hotfiles since they're usually smeared with the plastic waifu crap that passes for FOTM over there.I'm going to release it soon, probably next weekend. I'm not sure how the Skyrim crowd will take US, given its irreverent tone and "distinct" dialogue. The entire thing was born out of my frustration with Papyrus, in addition to longstanding contempt for the Companions' design. The first questline deals with the true origins of the Silver Hand, and the second involves retrieving a sacred artifact (a chamber pot). This started as Immersive Idiots, but I ended up liking Roderick's backstory so much that I made him a semi-legitimate character. Once the quests are complete, he becomes a recruitable companion with all the accompanying dialogue.
JoKelly
I dont know if I can wait that long, I mean what if I am killed in a car crash, or die of a heart attack before then. My spirit wont be able to rest with out having played bounties III. I dont want to haunt the forums for all time.
