Please vote truthfully as this could affect the site. Poll 2 - RegistrationDo you think registering to download the mods is a fair system? I have two reasons for using the current registration system:- Forum and Site registration is linked, I felt it would be more likely that people would post on the forum if they had to make an account there to download (Like a "oh I'm already here, may as well post" thing ;)). Think about why you decided to post here, was it for that reason?- Its a sign, to me, of how well we're getting on and how popular MW Source is. Obviously being able to say I have over 22,000 members is quite a ego-boost for me. Shh ;)

krxzhuang Posted September 11, 2003 Posted September 11, 2003 Though I'm a newbie to this site (and forum), but I believe that it's absolutely the best to have the registration. Not because I generally like registrations - I don't - but more because it kind of says "this is a serious site" and it keeps alot of junk away from the forum. And as Theta Orionis says, you got the right for it - it's your money - and we're a bunch of freeloaders... Don't take this too seriously and start charging a fee... ;) KrX B)

Also, I myself registered for the downloads, and have since become a regular here in the forums. So I say that it is a good thing to have it set up like that. My vote: No.

I don't think anyone can seriously argue that registration is wrong.Good things about registration: what's been said, also ip ban on forums = no more downloads.... might be motivation to behave better!So at worst, its just there, and at best, it adds a bit of control.
