smidsy
What's the point? if any! I can understand it in "sports" games, because it boosts "reality" but in a wargame? What product could benefit from this? Don't think a brand would think this would acutally boost their sales.
General_Crespin
I'm going to wait and see how they implement this before forming an opinion. They could do it well.

BHWolf
If it helps. BF2142 is a new game in its own right and is not a an expansion of the current BF2 engine. Having played in the closed and open beta I have to say that it is worth playing; being a SF setting I noticed an emphasis on playability that could avoid the "But in real life" issues. On the map used for the beta there were no advertismants but there were panels obviously awaiting the advertisments. Use to play BF2 (Vanilla) a lot and with the english section of a clan when my shifts allowed. Unfortunately whilst away for a bit there was a bust up and came back to find my usual crowd scattered. Tied in with the point where one needed multiple thousands of points to progress and the interest ended. Was hoping to start afresh with BF2142 and will be playing it when it comes out, but 2007 now?.......:(
