Kethruch
Melisande & Helstar Melisande, your caution seems to be warranted. At the edge of where the firelight fades into the darkness of the night, a figure is semi apparent. Whatever it is, it sees you as well.
Malchik
Tiemmo has come to scavenge for food. No one usually notices him as he is quick and can hide himself well. But it is too late to run. The two outside the tent have their arms readied. But not for him, surely? They are unnaturally quiet and cautious. Best to keep out of the way. He moves into the firelight so that they do not start to attack him by mistake. He wonders what they make of him. Teenage, scrawny, unkempt would be words they might use although only two of those would be true. But he lets them see he is well armed with both Longsword and Longbow. He waits to see what they are doing.
wesaynothin
Helstar starts to ready a bolt of _____. Before releasing, he pauses and looks around, making sure no one else is trying to attack while he and Melisande are assaulting the tent. OOC:Would my attack magick be elemental at all? Would it be pure magick? Energy? Whichever one it is, it will fill in the blank.
Kethruch
Helstar, Melisande, TiemmoOOC - Your spell is elemental - it's an electric spell. A soft glow of bluish light begins to form around Helstar's hands as he readies his shock bolt spell. He and Melisande see the figure coming from the darkness, but their curiosity in him is cut short as two men, the shorter one brandishing a shortsword, the other a longsword burst forth from the opening of the tent. "I knew we weren't alone!" One hisses at the other. "They can't live, they heard too much." the other spits back. They charge the two by the tent, the smaller one going for Helstar. Malchik
Tiemmo has no idea who he should side with. Except the two coming out of the tent seem determined to leave no witnesses and that could make him the next target. The others had not, to that point, attacked him. In a state of confusion he readies the longbow and nocks an arrow. Whoever first gives him an evil glare will be its recipient. OOC> I'm off line now until tomorrow at 9 uk time. Melisande
Melisande attacks the one coming at her with her longsword, hoping that the figure in the shadows isn't reinforcements or a watch for the attacking men.
wesaynothin
Helstar jumps back in surprise, then throws his spell at the attacker not currently engaged. He then readies another, to either throw at the same man ledt it not work, or to throw at the strange man standing near the fire, now holding a longbow. Kethruch
Helstar, Melisande, & Tiemmo Melisande's sword swings true, catching the attacker at the base of the neck, staggering him. At the same time, however, his sword crashes against her side, and there is a definite crack on impact. Melisande also falls back a step, having trouble catching her breath, her left side burning with the pain. Helstar's retreat was just in time, but the arc of the shortsword still cuts through his clothing and leaves a long, shallow, stinging cut across his chest. As the spell goes off, the man's chest is covered for a second by an aura of blue light, and he falls back a step. The smell of burnt clothing and flesh permeates the area. Linden and Alenee The bow cracks with a satisfying sound. As Linden turns, she slips slightly, and it takes her a second to realize that it wasn't something stepped on, but her foot in her now blood-filled boot. Looking at the shovel, it is clearing some of the debris from the pile.
Peregrine
Ignoring the pain it causes, Alenee runs over to the shovel. She steps into position, then lunges at the shovel in an arc aimed to impale the "carrier", then if that fails, to continue through and hit the shovel itself. Emry
The sight of the blood in her boot, along with the sudden rush of lightheaded-ness from the loss of blood, makes Linden stop in her tracks. She looks around to see if there is anything to lean on to take pressure off of her injured leg (OOC, Maybe the cart? If it's not within 5 feet of her she's not moving). "Alenee! I'm loosing blood fast! I've got to take care of this or I'm going to faint on you! Cover me!." Trusting that the elf heard her, Linden rips off a part of her sleeve to create a makeshift bandage (pad & strips to hold it). She takes what remains of the arrow in her hand and gently shifts it to check if it's a smooth head or barbed. If it feels smooth, she yanks the arrow out in a swift motion and puts the pad over the wound. She would then begin praying a healing prayer (Flowstop I) and fire it off after one round. If that prayer worked, she wound intiate a second prayer (Healing I) to try to heal the wound. If it feels barbed, she's going to wrap the bandage around the wound and tell Alenee to retreat & regroup.
