threefoldmind Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 So I am looking for quests for each of the Divines and so far have only found quests for 2 of them Mara and Dibella. With that said I am wondering if the Vanilla game even has quests for the other 6 or the false god Talos. I am much more interested in these over the lame quests for the Daedric princes.
kimmera Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 There are quests for Kyne and Kynareth as well. Not sure why you didn't find the Kynareth quest since it starts in Whiterun via the temple there. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Divine_Quests Also not sure that I would call Sheogorath 'lame.' He might pluck out your eyes and use them as marbles.... thus you'd lose your sight and your marbles at the same time.... :)
threefoldmind Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Wow is that really it? I mean I did the quest for Falk Firebeard in Solitude, and Svari's quest to get her mom to go back to the temple so. Both which I consider service to the Divines (Keeping a powerful undead from rising, thus serving Arkay and bringing a mourner back into the church kind of serves all divines). I also am trying to maintain at least 1 blessing, 1 holy symbol, and gift of charity at all times. Hrmm, how can I make this play through more expansive?
Faelrin Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I know of at least two Daedric quests that can have outcomes for the divines in a way. You could start the Taste of Death, and either kill Eola as you first meet her, or follow her back to the cave, and eventually slay the whole coven and save Brother Verulus, since he's a priest of Arkay. You can also get an amulet of Arkay by telling him the Hall of the Dead is safe. Waking Nightmare has a priest of Mara you could get as a follower by not killing him at the end of it. This is assuming you haven't done these yet though. Don't really know if there's anything else though.
cdcooley Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Visit the Hall of the Dead in Riften and Whiterun. The needs of Arkay's priests aren't big, but they are real and related to their duties. The priest in Falkreath also has a quest, but it's more personal in nature.
threefoldmind Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 The representation of the Aedra in Skyrim is so underwhelming.
kimmera Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 The representation of the Aedra in Skyrim is so underwhelming. Well think about it.. if the others were bigger, would there really be all this Talos Talos TALOS shtick?
threefoldmind Posted September 20, 2015 Author Posted September 20, 2015 Well all the Daedra directly give you quests. So... yes.
kimmera Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Well all the Daedra directly give you quests. So... yes. The Daedra Lords are lesser though, and interfere with mortals directly often.
LeddBate Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) I'm not sure if this is vanilla or part of one of the (many) mods I have installed, but at the temple of the eight divines in solitude, you should find a tiny note at the empty alcove where the Talos shrine used to be. Reading this note will send you on a quest to find a Talos worship coven headed by (would you believe it) an Altmer priestess. It's not a very complicated quest. In fact, she simply sends you on a reverse fetch mission to spread the word of the coven. Edit: Whoops, I just realized you were asking about quests for the OTHER eight divines. My bad. Meh, I'll leave this up in case anyone is curious about the Talos coven. Edited September 24, 2015 by LeddBate
