Getting wet while inside of my house during the rain

This is me nitpicking, but, argh, it's so annoying when you build your house just before the rain so you don't get wet, but you still get wet because it's technically still "outside".
I know this is an engine limitation and it's probably something that won't be fixed with mods, I just needed to get it out!

Rain occlusion is great and wetness is great, just this little thingy that's real splinter in my eye!

Use the launcher and go to advance setting. It one of the check boxes. Called rain something.

I have this happen too, not only that but the rain actually comes through the ceiling.

I feel like minecraft actually managed to spoil us in this regard. But sheltering from rain works for it only because the whole world's procedurally built out of blocks. Maybe we'll find a workaround for that sometime in pre-generated world games like FO4.

To be fair, most of the roofs are very swiss-cheesy.

 

A solid roof should stop the rain though...there'll probably be a mod for that once the G.E.C.K. comes out, one was made for Skyrim. Who knows, Beth may even do it.

Rain occlusion blocks the rain from going through roofs, that's correct.

Wetness makes the outside world glossy and wet, that's also correct.
But places that block the rain, even without roof being swiss-cheese, still get wet shader on them even tho rain is not getting there.
