Working ok atm, seems ok during the day but at night it fails, yesterday I was getting downloads of 1Mb/s last night it was 60kb/s

I'm hesitant at using public proxies as you never know who's watching as this forum and main site don't appear to use certificates so usernames and passwords could be grabbed, I ruled out using Tor for the same reason.

NexusMods is now working swiftly for me as a PlusNet user.

The reason for the problem - I am told by a PlusNet Staffer - is that there was an image hosted somewhere on the Nexus site that fell foul of this: http://www.plus.net/support/security/abuse/internet_watch_foundation.shtml .

This is the message I received: "Without going into too much detail, the content delivery network used by nexusmods.com (and lots of other sites/services) is/was hosting an image that fell foul of this. This caused traffic to nexusmods to be routed via our IWF filtering proxy - a problem with this set-up caused the issues you were seeing."

I am not in a position to know the truth of all of this, and it seems extraordinary that if this was a problem Nexus staff were not advised. However, that is what I was told.

Anyway - for the moment all is good. Thanks for your support Robin and let's hope we are all back to normal.

Now for some more mods to overload my already tottering Skyrim game.... :geek:

Blocking an entire ISP for that is utterly ridiculous.

Definitely agree Dark0ne (thanks so much for the site, BTW). That, and the fact that it took 6 days to find this "issue"...

They knew pretty much the first or second day (read some posts around specifying exactly that content issue). But took them a while to move their asses and fix it cause.. reasons.
