Ten rules to get a mod setup with a lot of workshop & crafting mods to work

First of all, dump Homemaker, as a general rule, and you won't have a severely corrupted saves down the road. Wait until either the author of SSex is back, or the CK comes out, and wait a day or three to use anything like Homemaker or SSex. Alternative settlements, Clean Settlement Shacks, and Project Commonwealth do enough for me. Homemaker was ported, incomplete, from FalloutSnip, and I had a majorly corrupted save game just from running that mod. Aside from CBBE, Bodyslide, and some clothing mods, this was the only other mod I was running. Do NOT use Homemaker, at all. SSex, was rewritten, from scratch, using FO4Edit, not a port like Homemaker. Sadly, the mod author does not have time to work on much of anything for the game, and the mod is on standby until he does have some time. So, patience is a virtue here.

Second, FO4Edit still needs the merge plugins mod 1.9. That you can find on the Skyrim's nexus mod pages. Go to youtube, and look up Dirty Weasel Media, and pay attention to his excellent video about merging mods. It is an older video, but it will walk you through how to merge a mod, what to look for, etc. He does a really good job on the video. I have used this exact method myself to lower my mod count. I do recommend others doing so, as well. If you need a list of mods that can be merged, I can give those.

Listen buddy. It's enough that you go around spreading your delusions and ideas of technical knowledge. Don't hijack the posts of people that know what they do and spread your misinformation. This aint the cold war and you aint CIA. Dropping HM (which is updated constantly and works fine) in the hopes that some random dude will come back to his little moment of fame and update ssex (horribly made mod if you look at it with an editor) is laughable, and someone supporting this idea is to be laughed at.If these mods were cars, you'd be asking people to use a 1920 car cause it might get an update and make it more viable(???), instead of using a current day car that works and conforms nowadays standards. I don't know others, but I wouldn't even consider getting inside one of those death traps. Same goes for ssex - want to destroy your save, break your game and lose any desire to play? Sure, install it. Want to wait until this game is 6 years old and nobody cares about it anymore? Sure, wait. Do you want to use a system that works and is proven to work, with constant additions and updates? USE HM, use SnB, use any of the current mods that are being implemented and maintained.

And claiming HM will break your saves while PC won't, despite PC altering the game way more than HM proves, once again(like it was needed!) that you have no damn clue what you're talking about. Claiming HM will break your game, but the other mods you accounted for, doing THE EXACT SAME THING won't, is once more an indication of how little you understand this game, mods, modding, or anything. You could've backed off a while ago and accept that you're wrong, and nobody would've cared or minded. But you have to go around spreading nonsense.. so be it then. I'll follow your trail of risible clues and make sure everyone getting advice from you knows what you mostly DON'T know.

Tl;dr - sir 'twist reality to conform my views' has no idea what he's talking about. HM is as safe as any other workshop mod out there that's currently being maintained or released. So use them, have fun with them, and remember to ask for help in a proper manner, and don't stop to read the reply of one user that can't understand mods over the replies of many others that can and have working mods.

The delusion is still strong with this one... mind if I call you Mr. de la Mancha from now on?

Rather pathetic as well.

Please don't spoil such a great character with this association. I doubt even Sancho's donkey would like that.

@Ethreon: don't you think, the donkey shot some puns at him as well? (read this slowly and it might hit) :D

Let's go with Darth Quixote... at least that's what I had in mind when writing that post, hence the two references

But I guess, it's getting a bit offtopic. Will try to ignore the twisted nuisance in the future.

His post or my answer?

Thought it was obvious who the pathetic one was. I half way think the guy is just trolling as well.

By the way, you're like a freaking mod order fixing cyber ninja. You should set up a donation link so we can send some cash your way for all the help you've given people.

Yeah, I tend to go for the option which is worse for me, whenever encountering something that is interpretable in different ways. That's why I prefer to ask in those cases, just to make sure.

I appreciate the thought, but I don't think, it'd be worth the hassle to set up a donation link. Where I live, I'd have to register a business and declare and pay taxes for that, to be on the safe side legally. And to be honest: I wouldn't expect enough donations to really warrant that. But still: thanks for the idea! Didn't even come to my mind.
