Who else hates the way synth armor looks?

It looks like some kind of LARP armor a teenager made from trash bins.

I've tried using mods which turn it chrome, or black and have tried telling myself it's not that bad but seriously... I hate it and hate that it's the highest tier armor in the game.

 

I mean seriously, look at this. It looks like some kind of contrived riot gear you would expect to see in North Korea, guaranteed to protect you as long as you never get shot at.

Bethesda clearly was going for some Battlestar Galactica / Buck Rogers 1970s sci fi swag here but fell short.

 

The worst thing is my character found a part of legendary light synth armor leggings so it looks like she is running around the Commonwealth with paint cans on her ankles. The other armor sets in the game are pretty cool but this... this is not cool. /rant

Horrible. It looks like someone cut up a bunch of plastic buckets or flower pots or something and strapped them to their body. The guy who designed those needs to be fired.

Yeah the armor looks god awful. Its one of the few times I'd advocate outright replacing an in-game armor rather then adding another set of gear.

After seeing how the synth armor looked in game I was like F it, id rather take my chances with the combat armor and possibly die.

I like the full heavy set (the fully armored one.) but always wonder why the syth armor looks so BS and forgotten compared to raider armor sets that are rich in the leveled list even though they don't look so good (still love them.)
