'I always find it difficult to adjust to new looks. PlanetElderScroll anyone!

But if you feel there is need to stream-line, please go ahead. But try to stick to mute-colors.

It will definitely take some time to get used to, but that's generally the case. I agree with posters below regarding the colors. The current orange is too much. Also, the header is not on par with the one currently used on the old TESnexus site. Finally, the recent/latest files links could be organized somewhat better. Other than that I am looking forward to using the newly designed sites.

Cheers!

I am glad you said the color wasn't set in stone. I think it is too bright. I think that if it is matched with the current, more tannish-yellow orange of the current (old?) TES Nexus site, that would be enough and bring some continuity. I like that the current (old?) sites have different colors. I know without even having to concentrate which Nexus site I am on due to the color. I hope that continues.

The file images.....0_o....are all the authors going to have to restructure their primary image to keep it from being warped? or is that something that will be fixed? An amazing amount of the images are warped now that I saw while looking at the mods page by page.

I am sorry to see the "full page" part going away. It will waste almost half of my screen. That was one of the things that I didn't/don't like about the BSN. Skinning the unused area is fine I guess but it reminds me of old, outdated stuff like watching old 4:3 formatted television shows on my new 16:9 LCD 50". I can understand your reasoning behind it....something that doesn't take 24/7 of your time and being compatible. I also know you aren't going to change it...so just saying. ;)

I am excited to have less or no "my sqrl" connection errors. I can get used to anything and that will definitely take some getting used too.

*EDIT*

BTW, what is this in the upper left corner? It only happens if I hit the home page button or am navigating to the page for the first time. It only happens for a second but if I am fast enough, clicking on the stuff opens pages. There doesn't seem to be a way to open it up "normally".

That garbled drop-down happens in Firefox, but not (apparently) in IE. I use Firefox, as do many others, and I'd really prefer that it didn't do that.

Otherwise, the new design looks OK.

You have to allow scripts for jquery.com -- you probably have NoScript installed.

There is a problem with the About Me page in Firefox 5. I disabled every single add-on just to make sure. The page looks fine in I.E., but in Firefox 5 with no add-ons enabled it looks like:

Will the new platform work on smartphones? The current platform is a complete mess when trying to view Nexus on a cell phone.

FYI-ya the yellow color has to be changed.WAY to bright! Go back to the orange.

The worst thing about Fire Fox is that it has no backwards compatibility mode; so once you upgrade to the latest version it's very hard to see how the site looks on older versions. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm scared :(

JK, I generally liked redesigns, and this one looks promising. HOWEVER, using the current banners would be much better than the weird logo that is currently being used. Also, the colors are REALLY bright.

One thing I will say, The website looks pretty empty and feels like you need to just scroll down forever. One thing I love about the current interface, is that the whole page is filled up but it doesn't feel cluttered. The new interface has massive gaps on the sides that make it look like a mobile website instead of a fully featured community driven site. My 2 cents anyway...

The functionality seems to be fine but I would have preferred a dynamic layout that adjusts to the width of the user's screen (something like the old the site or the layout used by Amazon.co.uk).

By the way, I'm running Firefox 6.0 and no problems with the menu.
