Gopher Posted August 24, 2011 Share Posted August 24, 2011 As critical as many of us have been, including myself, i don't think the sentence "thanks for nothing" should ever be said or even considered. I may not be so hot on the new design but it is still the best mod site out there hands down. I used to be a hardcore console player until i discovered this site and saw all the insane mods here and i became so damn jealous i couldn't use them with my 360 that i've invested thousands of dollars into getting a decent gaming PC. So @Dark0ne, thanks for everything because i never would have gotten involved with PC gaming at all if the Nexus wasn't around. Your sites have provided an avenue for me to beautify and make some of my favorite games of all-time infinitely more fun which i find priceless. Thanks for all your hard work. Agreed. Whatever happens after this, we still got years of mod hosting out of Nexus. And for year Nexus has set the standard and been a community to us. I realise many of us are disappointed and feel the new format is not us. Thats ok. Be critical if that is how you feel, but dont be personal and if the owner says this is it, roll with it or make other arrangements. Like EvilDeadAsh34, I know for a fact I would not be a modder has Nexus not been here. So likewise, to Dark0ne and all the Nexus staff, thanks for EVERYTHING. If it weren't for this site, I probably would have never gotten Fallout 3 or New Vegas. If not, at least not for the PC. I would also like to clarify my earlier statement that the ads popped up every time. Only some do, like the Progressive auto insurance and Dove ads, but those are just examples. Siverix Posted August 24, 2011 Share Posted August 24, 2011 While the only thing i ever do is download the mods and i guess the new layout wouldn't hinder me too badly there are things what bug about the new style. So i go to the fallout 3 nexus to see what i might add to make my wasteland more wasty looking and what do i see? a cheerful looking bright green all over the site it just doesn't look right. The second thing i see? nexus just got a lot fatter the green parts are completely unnecessary and why did you have to get rid of the little boxes and use the rows? What was the main things i hated about youtube design google was implementing it's horrible. On the bright side i don't mind the edges everyone is cryin about. I haven't been able to download anything since the change. I click on a file to download and the panel dims and then nothing happens. Sometimes I do get a message telling me I must be signed in when I'm already signed in. Very frustrating. I use Windows 7-64 with IE9 and what would you like explained? EDIT 8/25/2011; still unable to download a fileI. I am using Win7-64 IE9. Please any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you. Hmm-hmm, I got the same download problem. Try reloading the page when nothing happens, then downloading again. That seems to work for me.
