natelovesyou
Is it possible for you if you come across some robe to see if they have some kind of physics?Thank you x) and have funThat kind of stuff really requires PhysX... I don't know what ATI video cards do for it, but PhysX is an nVidia thing. XBOXs have ATI cards. XBOXs can't do a lot of things, and I foresee dynamic clothing physics being one of those things. worm82075
That kind of stuff really requires PhysX... I don't know what ATI video cards do for it, but PhysX is an nVidia thing.PhysX doesn't need an Nvidia card to run. From the wiki:Versions 186 and newer of the ForceWare drivers disable PhysX hardware acceleration if a GPU from a different manufacturer, such as AMD, is present in the system.[14] Representatives at Nvidia stated to customers that the decision was made due to development expenses, and for quality assurance and business reasons.[15] This decision has caused a backlash from the community that led to the creation of a community patch for Windows 7, circumventing the GPU check in Nvidia's updated drivers. To counter this patch, Nvidia implemented a time bomb in driver versions 196 and 197 that slowed down hardware accelerated PhysX and reversed the gravity,[16], but an updated version of the patch removed all unwanted effects.[17]
Dark0ne
I did come across a rag on a rock that blew in the wind quite realistically. It scared the crap out of me because I saw it as I turned around and wasn't expecting it. Whether that same effect is used on robes I cannot say, but it looked good. Bloodinfested
Thx you for your report Dark0ne I see new info!I dont like the regen on magicka and heath I’m use to morrowind I even dl a mod for oblivion that killed the regen on magicka I found it to be to overpowered along with more drain on stam. I hope is was for demo only but if not its not really a big deal someone will mod it out and disables both I find it makes alchemy really more important to pick up and use or a reason to buy potions. In the trailer we can see some what appears some sort of physics in robes if we look carefull.I say some sort cause if it´s not physics it could be an animation specially for robes or something.Like the tails for the argonians and kajits. Also assassins creed games have cloth physics in the main character´s robes and the game is also for xbox. Thank you Dark0ne for the info :)
marharth
If health regens fast outside of battle then that is the first thing I am getting a mod to remove. I don't see much point in a cooking system at all now. If there is no hardcore mode, and health regens fast, what do you need cooked food for? Am I the only one who hates it regening fast? I don't mind it regening really slow so it will regen with wait, but I think this would be too far.
Lowk
Am I the only one who hates it regening fast?Yes. :P In all seriousness, I do see your concern: cooking might not be at all essential, and really just some "immersion" flavor. I'm okay with it, though. Have you seen that Horker Meat?! I see it more as a role playing tool than anything else; but, I think Pete at one point said it can be used to keep you alive during a fight as well, since I don't think health regens at all in combat. Hardcore/hunger would have to be modded in, and I'm sure it would be quite easy to tweak regen rates to suit your needs.
jedimembrain
What level was the character, what were their magic level and restoration levels? .. Those could have been the reasons... maybe they demo character started off with some good restoration perks? .. I'm not saying this will ruin the game .. could make it even more fun .. but I dont like the idea of making my mage feel usless when the local warriors have insain magic regen :/
Fatalmasterpiece
Making it incredibly easy doesn't make it more fun, either. If you blow through every enemy you see then what's the point of leveling-up?Or upgrading loot or spells? There isn't, if nothing in the game poses a proper challenge then there is no need to become stronger. But that's not what I was talking about. You said the hardcore players should just die at the start of the game, but there is a difference between overcoming a challenging enemy and not being able to play the game period. There's no possible way to overcome something that makes you fail 100% of the time, no matter what you do.But a difficult enemy doesn't come with a 100% chance of failure. I agree perfectly, but you miss my point yet again. Lemme put it another way. The only question that matters when you're talking about game mechanics is this: Does it make the game more fun? Let us apply this question to the removal of health regen. Does having to spam healing spells/guzzle potions/abuse the Wait button/look for a place to sleep after every battle make the game more fun? No, it does not. You effectively HAD health regen in between battles in Oblivion anyway because of the wait mechanic and even if you removed that mana still regenerates so you can just stand there casting healing spells on yourself all day long. All the regen does is streamline the process so the player doesn't have to micromanage those mundane details themselves.Cool, hope you enjoy that. I'm going to make a hardcore mod or play someone elses because I feel it makes the game more fun that way. Of course, you won't be forced to download it, so no worries there. Edited September 23, 2011 by Fatalmasterpiece
