Thor.
Remember even if you get it via disk you can still download it from steam, I've done that with new vegas, to bad its steam restricted, meaning you can't move the game to other HDD's. Steam downside :verymad: Edited October 19, 2011 by Thor.
ricksamik
Hi, what do you mean you can't put it on another hard drive? If I get the game I'm not putting it on this online POS computer I'm on..I'm putting on my nice computer. I'm not putting my 1500.00 computer that I build myself online. Steam Restricted? I've read many horror stories about Steam..wouldn't want to join that..lol. I even had an issue with them at one time. Mehh.. I'll prob just keep playing Oblivion. Have fun folks. :) Edit: My thought is... what about 2 years from now? I've moved or don't have a net connection anymore...can I still play Skyrim?? You all should think ahead too ;) That's a cool contest though Dark0ne. I've never joined facebook or any of those kinds of sites. Ironman5000
Well this is awesome news! I've been liking the Facebook page since the start of the year so i'm in there! Facebook isn't that bad anyway, it's good for free messaging your relatives you never see in real life.

Amig186
Skyrim will require Steam? Like New Vegas does? Oh s#*!. That means I have to prepare myself not for getting little sleep, stockpling food and energy drinks, but for hours of waiting impatiently as Steam downloads those damned several hundred megabyte large updates. Not to mention other stuff like the lingering "preparing to launch" message or accidental uninstallations
Dark0ne
or accidental uninstallations You might want to get that looked at by a doctor. It sounds serious.
Amig186
Oh yes, it happened (if you've got a minute...). One time my anti virus program thought steam.exe was a trojan (and I'm not sure it was that far off) and deleted it. I had the installer, but the repair function wouldn't work and just threw unintelligable error messages at me. So I went and decided to uninstall Steam and install it again. Only to find my HDD became veeery empty, because Steam never bothered to warn me that uninstalling it would also remove all the games that used it. So take heed of my warning, good folk, and never uninstall this satanic contraption unless you're sure you have your games backed up or moved somewhere safe.
