Hexxagone
Conveyor belts!? SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! I'm 100% convinced now that Fallout 4 was so lacking in innovation and content because of this stupid ass settlement building system. No wonder that the map is small, the quests are limited and the story sucks, Bethesda must have spent over a year of development getting this system in place. cartman1975
I love the settlement building system but i miss the story as well. I doubt that i will install the upcoming Workshop DLCs (even as season pass holder) as my currently modded game works perfectly well and i have to finish Far Harbour and some construction plans for settlements. CiderMuffin
Eh, it's about the same amount we got for Skyrim when it comes to story DLC. Far Harbor and (seemingly) NukaWorld, though tbf we might see a story with the vault building DLC and of course we have Automatron (Which is superior to everything Fallout 3 had)I'm pretty happy with what we got. cartman1975
I'm pretty happy with what we got. Good for you, but i was more happy with the 5 story DLCs for Fallout 3 and the 4 story DLCs for NV. Now Bethesda concentrates on adding assets in workshop dlcs. Homework that private modders already did a long time ago.And add assests is the hometurf of modders as you can work on your own and don't need voice actors and story writers. I don't hate the system, but I would absolutely prefer Bethesda have spent their time on story or gameplay.

Modders haven't actually added that many completely new assets. While mods like SSEx, Homemaker and SOE are great, they mainly just add more vanilla items or some basic walls. I can see why you would compare them to the Wasteland Workshop DLCs, but they're not really the same since Bethesda does add a lot of new assets. Also, tons of new assets don't just magically come out, it can take a lot of time for modders to make lots of all new assets. While the WW DLCs aren't very impressive to people who want more story, I'd say the prices are right given what they offer and for people that like settlement building like me, they're fine. Maybe they just catered to people who like building settlements a bit more than they should have. WW01 wasn't bad, but that should be the minimum size DLC Bethesda puts out. cartman1975
Right, mods like Homemaker make already integrated assets available and Bethesda tries to make some more money with it :)But weapon mods are often made from scratch. And i know that assets don´t come out magically as i am just started to modding myself. And i am not talking about prices. I paid 24€ (27$) for the season pass which is ok. But i would have paid up to 100$ for 4-5 big story DLCs. Bethesda has chosen the "easy" way of making money. People who like the settlement building are very well served by the modders (adding exisiting assets) while story DLCs are often so complex that a professional software producer is needed to release them within a couple of months after the release. Story DLCs? Do you count Anchorage among them? It was just a shooting gallery. And NV was Obsidian's doing. There's quite a distinction between the style of Bethesda and Obsidian. mcguffin
those 3 new DLC come out, basically, for free for anyone who bought the season path before the price raise, so I won't complain ;) New stuff, new assets, But I guess, people are always angry, these days.
