cossayos
The FO4 story is problematic because you're supposed to search for your son. That was doomed, right from the get go, since you're simply not able to do that at a low level. Speaking from a purely technical perspective. And, going by many posts, I'm certainly not the only one not getting emotional over the story. To put it mildly. Well, what's done is done. But it would have been better if you played the offspring instead of the parent. Kind of like in FO3. The only thing I find myself doing is to create an especially ugly Nate, since I mostly play the female, to see how Shaun turned out after that kind of treatment. mellowtraumatic
Nuka World comes out in august and will most likely be the last DLC for Fallout 4.I hardly think that would be the case. Except if i misread something. Todd said in an interview last night that Nuka World would be the last dlc for Fallout 4.
Hexxagone
If NukaWorld is the last DLC then that means they have started to work on Elder Scrolls 6. What a failure Fallout 4 turned out to be, one of the worst Besthesda games ever made. Edited June 13, 2016 by Hexxagone

What a failure Fallout 4 turned out to be, one of the worst Besthesda games ever made. Not really. They sold tons of copies. If you compare it to most of Bethesda's previous games, it's better in almost every way. It just didn't live up to the expectations of old Fallout fans. FO3 didn't do that either, but I guess they thought it was just because it was Bethesda's first Fallout game. Bethesda has never been great at story telling though. What a failure Fallout 4 turned out to be, one of the worst Besthesda games ever made. I would hardly label FO4 a failure or one of the worst games ever made. I liked the settlement building and I really wished Skyrim would of had enough of the mechanics to build your own house. If they start TES 6 I would expect to see something similar but I'm hoping they don't base the entire game around it. Collecting resources like ore and wood to build your homes and maybe finding and unlocking new items while playing the game could be fun as something to do on the side, but not as the main point of the game. I don't want to spend my entire time in the game spamming part of the map collecting junk just to keep a pointless and flawed settlement active, let alone 30+ settlements. If there was a point to building and maintaining all of them, like an end goal of successfully bringing all the settlements together with a great finale or something, then yeah. They had a good idea with FO4. I just don't think it was executed properly.
CiderMuffin
Settlement building is great and a fun way to waste some time, I enjoyed it and it fit the flow of the world fine. It's also nice to have an actual faction that is dedicated to building up settlements or to be able to create your own settlement without the need of mods. Wasteland Workshop adds on to this in a lot of fun ways. Also yea, Fallout 4 is far from a failure. It's still one of the most played games on Steam and a lot of people love it. I wouldn't really classify the story as problematic, it was miles ahead of Fallout 3's and the factions were great imo. Maybe even better then NV's because they were truly ambiguous whereas NV's weren't, hell we might even be seeing a fifth faction with Nuka World given it's description. Loxly
For the love of god, just fix the cell reset bug, it's been almost 9 months. Human beings are created in less time than it will take them to fix this. Did they say ANYTHING at all about that in their press conference? or just in general? Which is especially tiresome when you've got something like spring cleaning installed and the Preston crew starts hammering away at thin air, since you scrapped that particular building. Or float in the air where a driveway has been, alternating with being stuck in concrete because there's a new foundation. With Spring Cleaning, or Scrap Everything, installed, you can remove those animation marker. Just "look" at the ground where they do the animation are scrap it. RaffTheSweetling
Todd Howard trying to sell us a pitch that this was their most popular and most successful game of all time.... LMAO. And why even lie like that? It defies logic.

Once the steam sales start it's only going to add more to that. Edited June 14, 2016 by CiderMuffin
