No one's telling you to cheat, now are they?

Anyway, some of the cheats are downright necessary for testing purposes, for example, TCL lets you get a better look at your environment, or occasionally get out if you're stuck.

TGM lets you test spells without worrying about skill level or magicka.

Hey guys. :D

I'd say maybe, because it honestly depends. I would never use cheats for my own benefit, even though sometimes I simply couldn't resist in Oblivion (I'm glad Steam will deactivate achievements if you use the command console, it's a good incentive to not use them). However, there's bound to be tons of bugs, not necessarily game breaking, but they'll exist all the same, and I know that sooner or later I'll have to use 'cheats' to work my way around them.

Definitely not. It's the exact reason I'm getting Skyrim for console. I got way too tempted to cheat on Oblivion and ruined the fun after about 4 years and hundreds of hours of play. I also got too tempted to ruin it with loads of game-crashing mods.

Cheat if you want to in games, I mean in ones like GTA it's compulsory, right? ;) but Elder Scrolls, no thanks.

I don't see why not, they're entirely optional and if you can't stop yourself using them then it's time to learn some self-control methinks!

They can be useful for testing purposes etc., if people want to mess up their main game it's up to them, but it doesn't affect anyone else.

The game already has cheats (activated through console commands), so it's a little silly, really.

It worked in Morrowind, it worked in Oblivion, it worked in Fallout 3 and it worked in New Vegas, so I'm sure it'll work fine in Skyrim as well. Also, cheats in videogames are a fine tradition, as I'm sure most of you have heard about IDDQD, the Konami code and so on, so why wouldn't there be some?

More importantly, it's a singleplayer game, so who cares? :P

I don't like how it says ofc now i can complete quests now, what about tfc to get into a good position to position the camera, tcl to get into that weird spot for screenshots.

Sometimes i like to have a load of gold when people add in shops to mods, i buy everything untill i find the set i want then i get rid of any excess gold.

There's a lot of reason's for cheats.

Sure you can think it destroys the game but that's ok it's your character and your opinion on cheats, i just don't like it when people say something shouldn't be in games because they don't like it, just dont use it.
