Dark0ne
I would like to apologise for the down-time experienced today between 5pm and 8.30pm GMT. Our software and hardware have been battered by the massive influx of traffic for Skyrim and to make matters worse, today, we've been under a continued DoS attack which was the last straw for our hardware. We've moved ourselves over on to a new routed setup but our US carrier is currently experiencing difficulties working with it, so right now all traffic is going through our UK provider. Good if you're in Europe, not so great if you're in the US. Hopefully we'll get it all back to normal soon enough. I'd like to thank the majority for their kind words of support and encouragement over these past few days as we work hard to ensure your experience is as good as possible. I myself have only had about 10 hours sleep since Skyrim was released 4 days ago, so rest assured I'm not just sitting about twiddling my thumbs. Keep your eyes on the news guys. Lisnpuppy
Thanks for the update. Now go sleep. We can all live without the Nexus for a few hours...I think? *plugs Nexus connection into brain and holds on to Dark0ne's leg crying shamefully*

LadyMilla
I admit I wondered when Nexus would go down under the onslaught of connection attempts. After the record number of concurrent users on Steam, it was more or less expected so while the apology is appreciated, I'd say it's like an apology from a soldier for losing ground when a fortified position that he guarded alone came under attack by an armored battalion. ;)

TheOutlander
Before this change over it took anywhere between 40secs - 2mins for you to load just one Skyrim nexus page (if it loaded at all). Now each page loads in less than a second... (even the other nexus pages never did that)... I guess 100,000 people buggered off. TonyTitan
As a free user of your site, thank you so very much for the endless amount of hard work you do to maintain and operate the Nexus. If it was not for the work you have done to keep the Nexus forums up and running, and the thousands of Mods contributed from all of the Modders, a few of my Fallout games would have ended up in the trash can. So a HUGE Thank you, to the site owners/operators, and to all of the modders out there who contribute many hours and dedication so that "gamers", such as myself, can experience game play for our favorite titles, the way they SHOULD have been released....and going so far as to add whole new elements to the games themselves at times! BarefootWarrior
I appreciate the update. I kinda figured that traffic crashed the system. Thanks for all the good work, get some sleep.
