What load of s***.Whoa, when did Modern Firearms get so much votes? Seems like that mod is gonna win, that's gonna cause some huge problems since most assets in the mod are made by other people. KnightHasen
The first time it came ahead of EBF I starting making plans to give away several RX480s to modders on /r/falloutmods. Can that guy who commented out 3 lines of code say the same for himself?

BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah
All other questions aside (be they of legitimacy of contest/entry, intent, accuracy of voting, etc.), why would anyone be surprised by Modern Firearms having a huge margin over the others? Has no one seen that people are willing to spend $100's (if not $1000's) on COD stuff on eBay or, even closer, the glut of gun mods on the Nexus? ...this, for better or worse and my likes/dislikes aside, is what's popular. Edit: I might have the game wrong...Modern Warfare or something. Edit2: Counter Strike Global Offensive, that's the one.
valdacil
The first time it came ahead of EBF I starting making plans to give away several RX480s to modders on /r/falloutmods. Can that guy who commented out 3 lines of code say the same for himself? THAT guy did a LOT more than comment out 3 lines of code (script edits, dialog edits, SM quest edit, SM script complete rewrite to display proper quest markers on companion/Dogmeat bleedout). The above comment coming from the guy who made a mod that just replaces some sounds (and according to the reviews videos I've watched, not even all of them) who describes his own mod as joke mod yet comes here and says that my mod is crap! You say 'first time it came ahead', like Pew Lasers was leading legitimately when it's already been proven that there was a 4chan campaign using proxy and TOR artificially inflating Pew Lasers' numbers. I don't think you have the moral high ground so I don't think you should come here and start slinging mud. EDIT: Additionally, while EBF is the mod I submitted for the contest, I have a number of other mods that I am author and coauthor for including AWKCR and VIS. I have curated DEF_UI for Neanka and provided support for that mod. And I have written multiple tutorials on the AWKCR and DEF_UI page, contributing to the modding community beyond just the mods I've worked on. A quick search of your mods on the Nexus shows every single one being a joke mod, most are just sound replacers. Yet you come here and act like you are a pillar of the community and slam me because you think that MY mod is stupid and you believe required little effort. Pot, meet kettle. You made all that out of a single sentence? Regardless of how you look at it our mods are the least worthy contenders, and yeah people most likely proxy voted for both of them, along with many of the other mods over 1k votes. What did I do when my mod started gaining traction? I told them to stop voting for it. I didn't call your mod stupid nor did I act like a "pillar of the community". WhiskeyRiver2
But you -are- a bit of a jerkass. Regardless of how flawed the contest is, or which mods may or may not have had their vote counts inflated via proxy/TOR users/bot nets (doubt anyone would go -that- far, but I've seen the accusation leveled a few times), it's a fact that most of the mods on that page are at the very least decent, and that everyone behind them deserves some measure of respect for the work put in. RaffTheSweetling
... why would anyone be surprised by Modern Firearms having a huge margin over the others? From what I could tell, the reason it is thousands of votes in front is entirely due to a campaign to stop Elianora from winning. Out-of-control nastiness and personal attacks aimed at Elianora included - many individuals on sites like 4Chan have cast hundreds (if not thousands) of bogus votes, using TOR proxies, for no other reason than to let ANYONE OTHER THAN Elianora win. It's pretty disgusting. What kind of competition lets such a thing be even possible? Is any single aspect of this competition legit? EDIT - removed my comment regarding MF as its author clarified something I did not know about that mod. Edited July 25, 2016 by RaffTheSweetling
