Nuka-World Trailer is Here

Holy carp that trailer was amazing. Let's hope the actual Add-On lives up to that...

That's what I started to think, after I made my post. I remember the Trailer for Workshop and ya, well ... not so hot.

Then I remembered the trailer for Vault-Tec DLC and again, the Trailer was ... well more impressive than the DLC.

But hopefully it's more in line with Far Harbor ... hopefully since this is the last DLC, they will go out with an AWESOME BANG! Here is to HOPE.

Trailers don't say much on the actual content. It's the usual PR hype going with every new release. Think advertising. And no, I didn't even watch it, since things like that never live entirely up to the actual product. They're appetisers, geared at the ones who haven't bought a Season pass.

That's not to say, the DLC will be bad, it's just making the necessary distinction between advertising and actual product. Many people would be less disappointed with the actual game if they hadn't bought into the prerelease hype and simply expected a Bethesda game.

I know this isn't going to be a popular question, but why in the world would you build the next Disneyland near Boston? Disney built Disneyworld in Florida because it was a swamp and land was dirty dirty cheap. And Disneyland was right by the Studio! That said, I want de-extinction mods so I can repopulate Safari World with real animals

It's Fallout universe, totally different from our.

Btw, this DLC looks interesting, and seems maybe is not the last dlc of Fallout, but only the last of this year. And yes, Hines said that.

Nope, he confirmed that that interview was misinterpreted and that he did not say the "[for this season pass]" part. He confirmed multiple times that it's the last one and that's it.

Oh well in that case, let's enjoy this last ride.

Sooooo seems we have to fight in this dlc:

-aliens

-a ghoul magician. Is maybe Maxis from Fallout New Vegas?

Well, you wont even know what to expect then.

I mean, the trailer shows a new explorable area that is atleast as big as half Boston, mountable (and functioning) rollercoaster, a usable skytrain, rad looking creatures (That was a pun. You know, because of rad... radiation... hehe... got it? You got it? You... ok.), atleast one new settlement, new settlement items and a pingpong bat (Think about it, a f*#@in pingpong bat!), as well as other new guns.

It seems more like a ride than the real thing though. What do you guys see?

To be safe, think the quests are ok at most.

Most of fallout 4 trailers show gameplay, not story anyhow. I dont see how you can get de-hyped. The most disspointed reactions of fallout was people who thought it would be this and that. Just think nothing but what you see in the screen, don't look far and that it honestly.

What I see is enormous potential for modding.

I see tons of new construction tiles and assets to build cells with and to also retexture.

I see new guns which might exist for no other reason than to mitigate animation problems finally.

I see new weapons which add new bits which, again, will add more content for weapon modding.

I see new outfits that modders can work with to create newer (better) custom outfits. (That bullet belt outfit was dope).

I see new enemies to add to my own cells, and which (I really hope) someone could modify to make new creatures mods like Mart's Mutant Mod for example.

I see new clutter and decoration meshes, and new textures for existing meshes, again all of which add huge longevity when modders start cutting/chopping/splicing and pasting to make new stuff, and when modders add these things to the workshop build menu.

I actually see this as a giant workshop of ideas that itself will make the game more moddable in the long run.

Hopefully Bethesda will address the problems preventing modding FO4 being easier, and fix the most severe game-breaking bugs before the GotY edition comes out, and then basically (predictably), leaving the game to us to make great by creating an indefinite surplus of content.

This DLC seems to be to be something that will make the game better to mod, as much as it seems to be just a lot of fun new content before they wash their hands at the title.

My two cents.
