Nuka-World Trailer is Here

Frankly, the thought of siding with a bunch of Raiders to then attack settlements I've spent ages building-up from the ground doesn't sound apealing. At all.

I liked Far Harbor, but it didn't give me the feeling I was playing FO4, a lot has to do with the fact it has a separate map, disconnected from the Commonwealth one.

I disliked the Vault Tec content to the point I left Vault 88 without even activating all the WorkShops.

And now Bethesda wants me to side with Raiders? In a Disneyland look-alike? Sure....

I'll have a look at the DLC, but I fear it's going to be a disappointment. Not because of the gameplay per sé, but because it once again goes against what I consider my FallOut gaming principles :P

Why not just simply place your saves in a new folder before starting the dlc or a new game suited for it?

Many like me already started up new runs.

Never heard of such feeling before.

I mean, aren't most dlcs in new land masses like islands?

you can take them over jimmy, there is no need to destroy anything, scare them away and in the end you still have all, the only difrent is they are raider settlements

tats why i say in the end its just a settlement dlc

Haha Jimmy... I wouldn't mind erasing a few of my rubbish ones and gunning the people who don't much care for goodneighbor down. But I see your point. Destruction is a bit drastic over taking them over, and even taking them over won't be to everyone's tastes. So it'll be interesting to see just how far you can go with it (or how far you don't need to go with it). EDIT: That said the destruction of settlements/locations isn't really a FO4 thing, it's not like your walls or wood fences ever get destroyed, so I can see speedynl's point, about how you'll just take them over without actually destroying anything.

Wunderbot, it's just harmless hype and speculation, a pretty y'know, standard massive thing in gaming  I personally prefer the usually positive pre-hype compared to the post-release comment/opinion drives, god are they depressing. But it's true there's only a week to go...a little more patience and all will be revealed, voiding the entirety of this thread, haha.

How does having the option of siding with raiders imply that the DLC will give you absolutely no choice but to join them? Wouldn't it be better to just, you know, wait until it's released and we actually know what's in it?

i know wat is in it i play beta, and you can only join the raiders as a sort of leader, but you can't command any 1, always some 1 else tell you wat to do

you can take over settlements by killing them and or scare them away tats all

so in the end it is join take over settlements drop some raider stuff in it to raise happiness and done, tats the short version, and i'm no fan of those stupid bugged settlements

Not sure, but i really think Bethesda is out of ideas. I try this dlc, and i can confirm is really silly and goofy, all mixed with a variety of nonsense with blood, gore and "we are the raiders, we do the f@ck we want" and, just because we are in Nuka World a lot of cool and awesome actractions! There is a lot of stupidity and a lot of nonsense. The crafting is good. But i admit i've not yet try the new raider settlement system. I admit i loved only try to explore the place, not the quests, and some moments where really sad for how much was bad written.

But there is only one thing that i don't understand: HOW in hell they could survive in that place?! Not only with the classic raids on settlements or merchant and caravans. I mean how they survive? What they eat, what they produce, all in a pre war luna park designed to be only a tourist actraction.

Is funny this dlc? Sure, but is a failed occasion by bethesda again. Is very incomplete, with a lot of plot holes.

Good side? Crafting, a lot of new stuff to craft our new weapons, even the AK-47 and the Nuka Cola. Yes there are even the goofy decorations you have seen in the trailer and in the leaked pictures. But if you have even Automatron you can collect new mods for our robots.

not to mention haf the locations are just empty places with some monsters and all borded up houses

basically it's all good only for shoot in the face random enemies and loot stuff. The same thing i saw and i did in the vanilla game and in Far Harbor, Automatron and Vault Tec Workshop.
