I don't know if you have recently tweaked, or otherwise changed the code for the Nexus posts, but as of today I can no longer edit my comments. There are two reasons for this. Firstly the edit window used to appear centre of the screen regardless of where the page was scrolled to, now it appears at the top of the page and I need to pageup to see. Doing this however renders the edit box inaccessible to my mouse and the whole page becomes unresponsive.

Secondly the download dialog appears to exhibit this strange behaviour also and I need to pageup to see it.

Lastly the code in the Nexus Forums is vastly superior to that of the 'Posts' tab on the Nexus. Formatting is all wrong when done in one place and viewed in another. If there could be some form of duplication it would make things more easier to maintain from users perspective.

Apart from that I would like to thank you for providing a stable and long-lasting arena for mods to be found. Nexus has been a wonderful source of mods for me for a longtime.

MistakenMystic: The Edit popup is still appearing in the middle of my screen (Firefox 28.0, on Windows 7). What browser are you using, and what version?

And yeah, from what I've seen and read, the forums and the file/image pages use different systems that weren't really meant to work together. (Especially since the forum side doesn't really support threaded replies, thus all the "In response to post #31415926" stuff.)

@AaronOfMpls

Chrome Version 38.0.2125.104 m (64-bit)

EDIT: 31/10/2014

I found the reason. I had installed a Chrome extension, High Contrast, that inverts the colours on some pages to make them easier to read. Somehow it had been activated for the Nexus pages in the last few days and it messed up the popup windows.

After disabling it all is fine again.

I'll blame the wife for this one, couldn't have been anything I've done!

Hi,

I don't know if this problem was there or anywhere else on these forums before, so I'm gonna to report it.

I've encountered this some months ago when my file hasn't reached hot files (it gained necessary count of endorsements), but it was visible to logged-out users in HF only.

So, today me and my friend have compared our screenshots of the main page, and what we've both got:

Somehow HF on these pictures differs, and we don't know why.

I'm sorry, if this were asked, but we just want to know if this is normal.

Hot files are affected by the adult-content preference and your blocked tag preferences. You are seeing different hot files because one or both of you is blocking specific content from showing.

Starting about middle of last week, I have been having issues with the Dallas Premium server. It acts like it loads my file but when I go to the downloads folder the file shows complete with 0kb size. I changed over to the Washington server in my preferences and the downloads are normal so I don't think it's an issue of my settings, particularly since I've made no changes recently and have had no problems with the server before. Is there an issue going on with the Dallas server?

Thanks and Regards

Edit- Please disregard. I see now where the server was temporarily down and it's now functioning normally for me.

Feedback:

  1. I would appreciate if the sticky post for mod pages were only be pinned on the first post page and not on every subsequent page. As someone who does not mind/is willing to read through 15 or 20 pages of comments to check if an answer exists, it is discouraging on mod pages like Vilja (for example) where the pinned topic goes on for several (5 to be specific) of my browser pages on every single subsequent page.
  2. The endorse function is not tied to the mod version. At times (in reality near zero) I enthusiastically endorse a file but then a new release significantly deviates from the core reason for my endorsement. Since I no longer would endorse the new version as it is essentially unplayable (for me) I am left with a decision. To continue my support for the old version although this choice is not visible or discontinue my support for the new version when I still support the older version?

I realize neither of these may be technically possible and in the first case I would continue to read 15-20 pages regardless. I also realize that the forum login page gives a completely different view of the comments (perhaps worth another feedback comment as I am thoroughly confused by the differences/discrepancies). In the second case the author deserves my support regardless, but still this is a feedback topic so...
