Ok, I did try the search function, but didnt find any combo of words for my issue:

I am getting messaged by someone with.....disturbing views. I would like to block them. How do I do this?

I dont want to report the person; they have the right to their views, how ever much I disagree. But I dont want them bothering me with what I consider "inappropriate content" anymore.

You can go here, or click on your username on the top left of the forums page and then "Manage Ignore Prefs".

There you can enter the user you want to block interaction with and further specify how much. You just start entering the name and the Nexus will automatically give you a list of fitting users to pick from until you have the one you search for.

At least I think that's how it's done. Didn't yet have to block anybody myself so far. But I'm pretty sure that is the way to go.

when I go to http://forums.nexusmods.com

whether it is through 'frequently visited sites' on my browser or by clicking on The Nexus Forums (from the Dragon Age Origins forum), I get sent to:

http://forums.nexusmods.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

If I select 'forums' from a DAO mod page, I get taken to the DAO forum page. I don't consider that a problem just that I have to sneak in through a back door to get to the general Nexus forums.

I had a darn hard time finding this forum - once - so I doubt that I'll be able to find it and see responses (if any).

Hello, I got questions regarding "closed" accounts and files :

How can I delete files / mods or request the deletion thereof ?

If requesting to have ones account closed, what happens to the files (if the deletion request of ones files isn't included in the "close" request or if the deletion request wasn't made prior to the "deletion") ?

Both questions are in relation to the following part of the terms of agreement :

"However, by posting, uploading, inputting, providing or submitting ("Posting") content on the Nexus you are granting the Nexus a non-exclusive, world-wide, royalty-free license to: copy, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, reproduce, edit, translate and reformat your content and to publish your username in connection with your content at our digression until such time as you manually remove the content yourself using the pre-provided tools or until such time that you send a request to the owners of the site for the content be removed. "

There's actually several different ways to go about this.

1) If it's only "closed", you can always come back at any point, either through just creating a new account (not really helpful in this case but in order to get into contact with staff) or requesting it being reinstated via the Unban Request/Ban Appeal form.

2) You can also use the Ban Appeal form without requesting being unbanned but instead asking for your files' removal through it (this way it's the same account and only the person with login details can be the one requesting it, so chances are high it's legit).

3) Use the Contact Us link found at the bottom of the page to get in contact with administration and request their removal through this. Last time I checked the form can very well be used by Guests just as much, so an account isn't even needed. But better prepare to "prove" you are the author of the mods in question when the request isn't coming from the account the mods belong to.

thx

where can I find the Ban Appeal form ( / Unban Request) ?

Is it possible to ask for the removal of multiple files at once ?

If one gets banned, can he / she ask for the complete removal of his work that way as well ?
