DikkeVetteVlinder
Morrowind. I will admit that that is influenced a little by nostalgia, as it was also the very first game of it's kind I ever played. Think I was twelve at the time. Anyway; the world, the immersion; I still love everything to bits.

cjn83
Another Oblivion fan here. It's the art. Whenever I start that game up I feel like I've stepped in to a renaissance painting.

KingFeraligatr
Inconclusive list not in order: Morrowind Skyrim KotOR (I think I like 2 better overall) Mount and Blade: Warband Mass Effect 1 (2's okay, but lacking. 3 is awful, and it's not just the ending) Fallout: New Vegas Deus Ex 1 (I consider this an FPS first and foremost though.... Not that I care.) Pokemon (HGSS are my favorite official games) Etc. I aim to play many of the old games I never played, but it's going very slowly. geekminxen
Fallout New Vegas. I was absorbed by the world and fell absolutely in love with the characters, and really felt like I had choices that made a difference.
DarthDeadMan
It's hard to pick all-time favorite, so I'll just list some in no particular order Fallout 2 (I hate time-limit in the 1st)Planescape: TourmentStar Wars: KotOR 2: The Sith LordsVampire The Masquerade - BloodlinesThe Witcher 1 (didn't played 3 yet, so can't say anynthing about it, but for my taste 1st was far better than 2nd)Deus Ex 1Dragon Age: Origins (didn't played Inquisition, but DA2 sucks)
AJunkMailBin
Planescape Torment. I will never forget how that game seemed to enable me to make choices that actually had an appreciable effect on the gaming experience. It felt like I was actually free to choose what role I wanted to play and have that role effect the game.
Thaneize
morrowind + other TES games - were and will most likely be the games that define the term "RPG" for meMass effect (especially the first one) - best Sci-Fi RPG imoFable + the lost chapters (forget 2 and 3) - the last good thing Peter Molyneux did before he started talking without deliveringKotor I+II - the best RPG made from a movie franchise, period
iXenite
Dragon Age: Origins is probably my favorite RPG of all time. I can't recall any other game I got so immersed in other than that one. The world, the lore, the characters all of it drew me in like nothing else. Truly a masterpiece. It's a shame that all of its sequels (especially Inquisition) were so terrible.
