For me, Gothic 1 and 2 are simply unrivalled - imho the best and most immersive RPGs I played so far. TES 4 Oblivion however holds a special place in my heart, as it was through this game I got to know the true power of modding for the first time

Morrowind.

After 12+ years, I still play it now.

Amen to that. I remember the first time I saw Vivec (the city, not the God, although that was pretty memorable too). It blew me away.

And also seeing the partially finished Akulakhan.

I can't think of another game which has mesmerised me to anywhere near the same degree.

Skyrim and Morrowind are pretty much tied for me, still slightly prefer Skyrim, and though I have Oblivion I never got into it like I did with Skyrim and Morrowind, mostly cause I never got all my mods working

It would probably be Daggerfall it may look like s#*! but I still firmly believe that it's a great RPG and a fantasy life simulator. With the in depth character creation it is over all is a solid RPG it may have lots of bugs and glitches but those can be fixed with mods.
