Nozzer66
So recently I went to the skyrim nexus to find some some mods. When I check the most endorsed mods of the past week and past 2 weeks I seen a lot of followers mods. So are you guys are tired of seeing to much follower mods during the past weeks? No.
Lisnpuppy
No I meant their own top mod files category.I think you understand exactly what I mean and at this point all you're doing is trolling ... The title asks how I feel about it ... that's how I feel about it. (live with it)Maybe you shouldn't make a forum post to just talk to yourself. They are on the hot files because *le gasp* people like and download and endorse them. I've been here 8 years...well 8 1/2 now and we been through one of these or a why are there these crappy skimpy armor mod threads a few times per month. We did it in Oblivion, F3, FNV, Skyrim and now in F4 also. If you don't want to see it, use the filters. If you are planning to release a mod and are going to get upset because it doesn't got to the hotfiles in 5 min or FOTM then you are probably setting yourself up for hurt. If your mod is good people will find it. There are people that feel like you that go searching for those gems. Now if you think that is all that gets attention then maybe you should think of ways in which you can support mods you like? Like maybe endorsements? Sharing mods you think are great instead of pulling down the things you do not. And if you look at the top files category in the drop down menu, then pick top of all time..a menu for each category appears and will show you the top mods in each category of all time. So I guess that is kinda there. Now I seriously doubt this site will make use of a means to push mods aside. Some very good ideas have been made as to changes in the hotfiles or what you can see. Like having a hotfile list for each category you can tick through. If you have any ideas like that then share them. If your ideas are, I don't like x type mods and therefore they are of no account...well I think you will be barking up a dead horse butt for that. Ethreon
If you make mods just to get famous and have fotm, you're doing it wrong.
Getinthyvan
My game is pretty dangerous so I'm glad there's this many followers to choose from. I currently have Wildcat + Enemy Encounter installed (my two favourite mods, btw) and the difficulty set up to Legendary, which means realistic levels of damage both dealt and received plus random enemy spawns anywhere, anytime, and there's another mod in my load order (sorry, don't know which one) that likes to spawn high-level mass-murderers in the middle of cities from the very moment I start the game. In addition to all of this, bEssentialTakeNoDamage has always been ZERO in my skyrim.ini and I don't believe in resurrections so, naturally, if I'm ambushed and an arrow flies straight into one of my companion's face he or she stays dead (unless I die as well of course, in that case they'll be resurrected alongside me when the game loads. Can't bother with Dead is Dead... I'd have to create a new character every day, it'd just be annoying). The point is, if I was playing with just vanilla followers this would be a pretty big problem, but with such abundance of potential henchmen scattered throughout the world I'm certain I'll pretty much never run out of NPCs to fight by my side, and since I always forget about all the stuff I download I'm always randomly stumbling uppon new characters that I didn't even remember existed, and that's also nice. Plus, I like tits.
Nephenee13
Being super mad that people like a kind of mod you don't is, to be honest, not a good look. It makes you seem petty and vindictive for no really good reason.

handsomex
I myself actually don't really understand why my follower mod made it to the 2nd place in the hot files by now.It was my first attempt with the Creation Kit ever and I think it turned out to be rather bad. I also don't understand who all those people are who download and endorse so many follower mods. Personally I barely ever use followers and created this one just so I can bring my old character in a new game and also thought why not release her.It would be really great if people value big and unique works more. And I'm certain mine is neither of both, that's why I plan a bigger mod now. At least the endorsements encouraged me to do so sort of. On the other hand I don't think follower modders are to blame for their hot files. People are just getting what they want.
lofgren
Dammit, I missed out on this week's "modders are modding and players are playing wrong" thread.
Jeir
Followers? No. But, they could do with more variety. Nope, not tired as I know how to use the great blocking functions that the Nexus has. The few that get through the filter I just follow the Golden Rule of The Nexus, Don't like it, pass without comment.I'd love to block female follower mods, though. Sadly, can't do that without blocking the very few male followers there are as well.
