Moksha8088
Many of the followers and presets offered by Japanese modders involve characters with various types of animal ears, suggesting some interspecies propagation.Nah, they are just Japanese and it common in Japanese fiction to have animal ear characters If it is just a part of Japanese fiction, then thank goodness that none of the Skyrim creations have involved an interspecies hybrid of a human with tentacles. LeddBate
Woah, that is pretty interesting! That changes so much. Wish I could remember that NPC's name... I think I can find out, first of all, was it in a letter or a journal (book?) Using the skyrim wiki, that lists all sorts of items with the holder, place and summery. One can easily trace such stuff. Did the dunmer wore anything unique? Any quest you can recall? Name of the place? The most important, are you sure it not a mod after all? Unfortunately, when my WIN 7 self-destructed sometime ago, I decided to make a clean start of everything, including erasing my old saves, reloading my Steam library and re-installing NMM. So I don't have the save or the record thereof. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a mod since the Dunmer had one of the "standard" Skyrim voices and I picked up the adventure by quizzing a bartender. ("The Jarl has put out a bounty on these bandits.... blah, blah, blah.") Edit: Well, I tried a search of all the quests at Elder Scrolls Wiki and came up with nothing. Sooo, I guess it was from a mod. Maybe "Interesting NPCs"? Honestly, I don't know. At least it was lore-friendly. If I run across this quest with this NPC in my next playthrough, I'll try to PM you about it. Edited October 24, 2016 by LeddBate
Rethrain
From what I remember reading Racial Phylogeny some long time ago, all mer and man races can have offspring. However, Argonian can't have any with the rest. I've no idea for the Khajiit, though, I know they are mer but...I suppose? (Yey Catgirls XP)You probably don't see a lot cause devs didn't care/didn't fit well at the time. If I remember correctly, I think that Hlaalu Helseth was half Dunmer and Human. TheGreatFalro
Somewhere in the game (not a mod) you run across a Dark Elf hunting a group of bandits in a Falmer infested dungeon. I don't want to spoil the adventure line itself, suffice to say that you find out that the Dunmer character's mother was Dark Elf and his father was a Khajiit. The only sign of his mixed heritage was one of his eyes, which he deliberately gouged out to be rid of it! Pretty hard-core there. Wish I could remember that NPC's name...That was definitely a mod. I have never seen anything like that before.
Lachdonin
If I remember correctly, I think that Hlaalu Helseth was half Dunmer and Human. His mother was married to a human (King Eadwyre of Wayrest) at the time of Daggerfall, but all her living children were from her consort while Queen of Morrowind, General Symmachus, who was a full blooded Dunmer. Her only potentially half-blooded child was a potentially aborted pregnancy from Tiber Septim.

Moksha8088
Leddbate, the Dunmer in question was Raynes who is to be found in Lost Echo Cave in the quest The Law Always Wins. It is part of the Interesting NPCs mod.

Yep, I was suspicious that it might be from Interesting NPCs. Thanks! Although that entry makes no mention of it, I'm positive I remember him rambling on about his Father and how he gouged out his one Khajiit eye. I'd forgotten how overwhelmingly awesome this mod is. What a pity it's too big for the mod authors to upload to the Bethseda site to share with the console peasants -err, I meant persons. Boombro
Yeah it awesome, it my source for husbands since not many adds male followers. Guess that closes the case, there is no cross breeding.
