saurusmaximus
My first impression was I felt like I was playing vanilla 32bit Skyrim with a light enb preset installed; the visuals are nicer, but the textures still suck. Also, and this isn't the game's fault, because my monitor is so old I'm stuck playing in windowed mode, which is annoying. Sad to say, but until I can properly mod it, I'm probably not going to spend much time with SE. Edit: I don't like the way I worded this post; it makes it sound like I'm ungrateful for getting a free gift, which I totally am not. Just looking forward to modding a 64 bit game, and saving for a new monitor

SMB92
My first "thoughts" include profane words that are often used to describe the problems/bad performance of original Skyrim by many users, however now being used for the exact opposite :D

RatB0Y68
My thoughts are that I won't be actually playing the remaster until the new updated SKSE and Creation Kit comes out. Then I can port most if not all of my mods. Once that is done, I will enjoy Skyrim SE I'm sure.
dayglo98
In my case SSE runs better than Skyrim vanilla. I mean majorly. I had stutter even without any ENB, in 1080p. now I have : 2700x1500 Ultra, TAA, 16xF in driver settings. Noble HD SkyrimAmidianborn armorsAmidianborn cavesWet and ColdSMIMRLO +ELFX Interiors+some other mods.Seriously I dont think I have ever played an open world game that is so smooth. constant 60fps not even dipping to 58-59, 60fps aaaalll the time.GTX1070i5-2500k @ 4.4Ghz8Gb RAMWin10I am also super hopeful for the future and just happy that everything is stable and smooth. davebal
It's a bit of a mixed bag really, isn't it? I can definitely see why PC users got a freebie, as the improvements are fairly minimal compared to a fully modded 32 bit Skyrim. I can't see how Bethesda could honestly charge people 60$ for godays or a fairly poor DOF. However, the worst aspect is that, once again, Bethesda has left it in the hands of the modding community to make it something special, something with a bit more depth. Something which the modding community did with the original Skyrim while Bethesda reaped much of the dividends. I could list all the bugs I've seen over the last 24 hours in SSE, but what's the point when we already know what they are. Bethesda has, at the very least, given us a 64 bit base to work with, and I can see great possibilities on the horizon. Just don't give Bethesda all the credit........!!! gaultjohn
I really like it especially when i figure out why there are lights flickering on everything. Looks like a disco ball on the npcs, horses, cart, etc.
