Kudos

I have noticed that it is becoming common usage on the forum to treat the word kudos as though it were plural and that the singular form is kudo. In fact kudos derives from the Greek for prestige, merit, etc. and is singular in itself. There is no plural form.

The word kudo in the singular does not exist. Awarding kudos simply means giving merit.

Also in English the 'os' is short i.e. pronounced to rhyme with boss and toss NOT long to rhyme with goes or nose.
