HadToRegister
speedtest.net shows 223.55 Mbps, and the downloads from nexus never go over 1Mbps (the non-premium cap). I am logged in and have selected CDN as the preferred download channel/site.Just tried downloading a big mod using North America Server and got about 160 KB/sec about 45 minutes it estimated for download timeDownloaded the SAME mod after Switching to CDN and got 16.5 MB/sec - downloaded in about 35 seconds I think there's something going on somewhere between you and Nexus.I'm on the Southern East Coast. The North America Server is horribly slow for me.Are you using Vortex to download? Because I THINK that only uses non-premium download serves right now

Cube13
I have been having the very same problem with the Premium American download server. It's been a few weeks since it has gone anywhere NEAR 1 MegaBYTE per second. I just switched to the Europe #2 download server, and immediately hit 18 megaBYTES per second download speed. I JUST now tried downloading Sim Settlements (400+ MB mod) using CDN and I got my normal 30 MegaBYTES (240 megaBITS) per second download speed. Aren't the premium servers supposed to be faster? I are Confused :P

Dark0ne
The CDN should almost always be faster than the Premium servers, not slower. The CDN is basically thousands of servers across the world that are split in to "edges" (clusters of servers) based on location. There are multiple edges in every continent and it's far more likely those edges are closer to you, and ergo faster, than the Premium servers are. The Premium servers are actually a legacy offering from back in the day when all our files were served on dedicated servers (e.g. 10 "normal" file servers that anyone could download from and 2 "premium" file servers that only Premium Members could download from). The CDN has removed the need for the Premium servers entirely, but, Premium-only servers were what we offered and advertised as part of the membership options from 2007 onwards, so we kind of have to keep this legacy service going as it's something Premium users did technically pay for. In regards to the NA server, we found an issue with the server this morning that should now be fixed.
