I am still playing Heroes of Might and Magic 3, and enjoying it. :smile:

 

Classic. Everyone hated on IV, but I actually enjoyed it more than III. I know, that makes me basically the only person in the world who felt that. But, it's true!

I would definitely recommend Divinity Original Sin as well.. but it's an RPG. Just done in the style of older isometric stuff (and optionally and wonderfully turn based). I wouldn't quite think of Xcom in the same sentence.

Silent Storm.
Great strategy game with turn based combat set in WW2 era with some SF elements. It has fully destructible environments, ragdoll physics, bullets bouncing off the object or passing through wooden stuff, etc... You can choose to play as either Allies or Axis.
It does look a dated today and there are some graphical issues with nVidia cards, but those can be fixed with a patch found on the internet.
