How much fuel in a can of Mr Handy fuel

Also of note molerats were prewar, perhaps not in such a large state, but even a 20% growth for a rat is freaking creepy. So having a flamethrower for domestic purposes takes on new meaning, in addition to its use for general purposes. Also as the wiki quote notes its a blowtorch that can be used as a flamethrower or fire extinguisher so it must have a variable temperature setting, so maybe he was also meant to have a cyro-type weapon in addition to the flame but beth forgot.

Mr Handy's thrust levitation system must be a very low heat output.

If it is fueled by a gas like propane it isn't likely low heat.

The exhaust itself would rob the room of oxygen in minutes.

Given that some thought, if not some cold fusion or micro gravity control, the Robco robot just floating over anything, that isn't solid steel, would melt a path where ever it roamed.

Cold fusion would likely cause another effect that could damage standard building materials for floors, sidewalks, and lawns too.

Not to forget that; everything within inches of the heat source would have be scorched.

So what kind of fuel is used to give Mr. Handy the ability to float and move without frying everything?

Are the radiant looking emissions merely light and movement refraction of light making it look like flames?

Also; what about movement controls?

Maybe gyroscopes?

If it is heat coming out of the levitation area in Mr. Handy; the house must have had some really good floor wax to keep the tiles from being turned into curled up carbon flakes of linoleum.

let's assume the thruster is a turbine which just pushes air out, without any combustion. that would be the only way a mr. handy wouldn't instantly set the house on fire and/or burn all the oxygen in the room.

There are things on the back of the robot which could even be interpreted as air intakes for that, though they look very small to me.

and it would absolutely need gyroscopes.

Possible, but, if your floors weren't sparkling clean, he would raise a dustcloud wherever he went.......

The mention of a flame thrower on Codsworth has made me wonder.

Codsworth makes it clear he isn't equipped for combat when he offers to travel with our vault dweller.

Did he have the ability before our vault dweller improved him for combat?

Before the bombs fell what would he have a flame attachment for?

Lighting the BBQ briquettes? Melting carnauba wax to polish the car?

I've seen the prewar intro scene again recently.

Codsworth is using his pincer and flamethrower hands to wash dishes. That gave me an idea: Maybe this thing isn't a blowtorch/flamethrower, strictly speaking, but a general liquid dispenser? Like, instead of filling the small canister with fuel, he could fuel it with liquid soap to wash dishes, or with water to spray it at plants? Maybe he can change this canister?

That attachment also looks like it has 3 nozzles, so you could say that only one of them has the igniter and can be used as a flamethrower, and the others are just for generic spraying?

Aaand I have to throw out my theory out of thte window.

Codsworth just talked to the Bobrov guy at Dugout Inn. Bobrov offered him his moonshine as fuel, and Codsworth said something like, an alternative fuel source might be good, but I only have warranty if I use the certified Mr. Handy fuel. So yeah. Seems like Bethesda does indeed want to make it so that Mr. Handys need the fuel in order to stay operational...
