HadToRegister
Say you download and install a large mod that has an esp, say "BIG OLD MOD" and the mod author makes several updates after that changes, and only needs to upload a new ESP with the changes. Now, when you download and install that updated ESP, does the ESP from BIG OLD MOD get Overwritten as it normally would, or does it get installed in its own folder, and has to be set to load AFTER BIG OLD MOD's First esp? IE Download Big Old MOD v1 bigoldmod.esp, bigoldmod - main.ba2 is installed Now, the mod author patches a few errors and put up a new BIG OLD MOD esp only. Download bigoldmod.esp, and Vortex installs it, does voertex keep bigoldmod.esp ORIGINAL, and bigoldmod.esp NEW, or does Vortex OVERWRITE bigoldmod.esp (original), with bigoldmod.esp (New) Or, as I asked up higher, does vortex keep bigoldmod.esp (original) and you have to (On the MODS tab) put bigoldmod.esp (new) to load AFTER bigoldmod.esp (original)? Zanderat
Assuming the updated .esp has the same name, Vortex will overwrite it and you should get a conflict error message and you can choose to overwrite or not.

Ah, ok that's kind of what I thought I just did that last night, I already have D.E.C.A.Y. installed, and the D.E.C.A..Y. - VIS patch (Which is just the DECAY.esp so it overwrites it), so That popped up saying there was a mod conflict, which went away once I told Vortex to load DECAY.esp (VIS version), AFTER DECAY.esp (Regular Version), so then I installed Unique Creatures and THAT also has a custom DECAY.esp, so then I got three DECAY.esps conflicting, and got it all sorted by making sure the Unique Creatures "Decay.esp" loaded AFTER DECAY.esp (Regular), and then DECAY.esp (VIS) It's a little on the confusing side, (mainly because it requires slightly different thinking than a straight up overwrite does), but I "get" what's going on. DECAY - Decay.espDECAY-VIS - Decay.espUnique Creatures - Decay.esp With Unique Creatures - Decay.esp winning the conflict and overwriting/overriding the previous two "Decay.esp"
