Really wish to see linux support, all the most popular games on nexusmods work very well on linux. (TES/Fallout/Witcher/Cyberpunk/Dragonage/Valheim, even monster hunter works well on linux)

Supporting linux shouldn't even be hard, the biggest difference under the hood would be using '/' instead of '\' for paths and possibly ':' instead of ';' for separation. Even the UI doesn't seem to be using anything weird like wpf so even that part should be fine too.

are you 100% sure that the "biggest change under the hood" is using "/" rather than "\"? i mean, seriously ......

Hi everybody. I got Vortex on my steam deck last night. Its Linux but probly different than pc linux. All I did was this here

https://github.com/pikdum/steam-deck/

It is scary how easy it was. I havent figured out how to run Nemesis yet or how to get my profile or collection from my pc to the steam deck yet, but it was still pretty amazing. When I double clicked it in downloads it gave options to run with things that didnt seem right. I ran it with protontricks I think.

Now that Steam is dropping support for Windows 7 & 8 next year I REALLY am going to need a working mod manager if I just give up on Windows and go Linux only computers.

I would also like to add, that Linux is kinda already built for Vortex. You know how Vortex uses file links? Yeah, that functionality is built into Linux. I have been using links in Linux longer that Vortex and even MO2 have existed.

Seems Nexus is locking and burying any threads attempting to talk about this issue and then pretending it is answered. Petty. Although it does appear I have an answer to my question in a round about way: no, Nexus has still not bothered making their mod manager available on Linux, nor are they working on doing so properly. Considering it has been years since I used this site because of that and a couple years since I checked last to see what was up on that front, just to find literally zero efforts on the issue, well, I guess I will continue not using the site and start looking harder for alternatives.
