tlthe3rd Posted October 12, 2021 Share Posted October 12, 2021 (edited) this same thing is happening to me right now. it's really bizarre. i was modding last night, today vortex can't recognize my fallout 3 game folder files. my game is from steam. fallout 4 and skyrim se are still managed by vortex. and if i go to my fallout 3 game folder, all my exe's are in there. but when I try and have vortex locate it the file only shows the folders. nothing else. now when I click on fose it's saying I have an unknown version of fallout. i don't get it... jerrygamer Posted October 12, 2021 Share Posted October 12, 2021 I can't get Vortex to recognize Fallout 3 GOTY. All i get is the following message "This directory doesn't appear to contain the game. Expected to find these files: falloutlauncher.exe, data/fallout3.esm". I think that falloutlauncher.exe being changed to FalloutLauncherSteam.exe is the reason why.
