jfaussett
So, I have spent the last day and a half trying to get my skyrim se back off the ground. Figured I would pickup a bunch of mods. Well long story short, the first directory that i sent all my mods and my skyrim folders to was too cluttered to make sense of when I found skse not working. So, I deleted and uninstalled everything (or so I thought) and moved to a different partition to start again. Got skse working, went into FNIS and the program targets were in the previous partition, so I deleted them, uninstalled FNIS, deleted all the FNIS files and figured I could start from scratch, right? Wrong. Now, when I install FNIS, the FNIS Data file that shows up in Vortex is nowhere to be found and it is telling me that FNIS is not installed and can't find the executable file. For the love of sh*t on a shingle can someone help me with this? I just want this stuff to work. Thanks Guys
Pickysaurus
You need to install FNIS as a mod within Vortex, then turn on the built-in support.

AugustaCalidia
Bene, verum nil tanti. My favorite "Tombstone" scene Don't shoot! The Latin phrase means, roughly, "nevermind." (I had responded to the OP, but then I changed my mind.) Somewhere in my teen years I fell in love with Latin. I've been addicted to it ever since. Wasn't Val Kilmer an absolutely superb Doc Holliday! By the way, all of this is really off topic. To return to the OP's concern, I echo the advice given by Pickysaurus - simply install FNIS as a mod in Vortex. Also, it would probably be a good idea to switch on the FNIS button in Vortex settings. jfaussett
that button is on, but the start path is still not there, Does anyone have it in vortex to be able to give me an idea of the start path? Also, how do you install it as a mod OR where is the option to do so in Vortex?

Also, how do you install it as a mod OR where is the option to do so in Vortex? If you use the drag and drop method, like I do, then drag the mod into the Drop File(s) box at the bottom of your mods page. It will be copied to your game downloads folder, and the mod will appear in your mods list with a blue "Never Installed" button. Once you have installed the mod, a start path is established, and you can utilize the built-in Vortex support. You can also set FNIS up as a tool on the Vortex dashboard. You start FNIS in data/tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users.
