Vortex submit feedback broken/bug report.

hello there, to whomever reads this,

 

the submit feedback button is grayed out on the report a bug function of the Vortex application.

 

my issue with the client is: when you go to the "diagnostic files" button and go to report an issue with a crash to the client it grays out the "submit feedback" button not allowing the bug report to be submitted.

 

the bug i'm having as the root of this issue is: something happens in the launcher that causes deployment of one of the mods i have installed to go haywire and crash the client.

 

since the bug reporter isn't working for me and i'm not allowed to upload the log files to this site, i'm just going to copy/paste it in here. feel free to copy/paste and delete this from the post if you so wish, i have plenty of copies, and can reproduce the affect by going to launch bodyslide, hitting run, a window pops up with "pending mod deployment" i click deploy, aaaaannnnd crash.

i know, it has only been a day, but is there a way to edit the deployment queue so that i can just remove that one from the deployment list? or does anyone have another workaround that would work for me? please help... i want to use the vortex mod manager, but the bugs are making it so hard to do... or was this not a bug but me just being a noob and doing something wrong?

UPDATE: i went into NMM and enabled the mod i thought it was having issues with (which is also in the vortex mod list but disabling/re-enabling did nothing) and activated the mod and then swapped over to vortex and tried to see if it would crash, and it worked.

Are you using the newest version of Vortex? Feedback is often blocked if you're on an old build

The "Submit Feedback" button is grayed out if

- you haven't provided a title or a message

- title or message are too short.

 

The dialog specifically asks you to type something into these fields and it tells you if it's too short.

I'm having the exact same issue, I have automatic updates so it should be the newest version of vortex but I cant do anything in suggestions or bug reporting. Bug reporting dosen't even have a message box, just a title and the attachment area. Suggestions has a message box but as soon as i start typing it disappears into red text reading "please provide a meaning full description of at least 50 characters" and it DOES NOT matter how many characters are in the title it still goes goes to red text immediately no matter what. I cannot download any mods at the moment and i cant report it as a bug so i'm dead in the water.

YOu say "It should be" the newest version, but have you checked if it is?

Click the Three vertical Dots and pick ABOUT, and check if the version of Vortex is 0.16.15

Mods either aren't downloading, or downloading so very, very slow they might as well not be downloading at all. Checked internet service, it's working fine. Have plenty of memory on my pc. Everything else on pc and internet is running fine.

This does not seem related to the OP, but I would suggest trying a manual download to see if it's your connection or Vortex.

Yeah Vortex has this new issues ̣(just update the program recently) and the mod I downloaded for Skyrim (Immersive Wench, Hateful Wench, Judgement Wench and TKMN_More adopted children) which I've installed for the longest time and has played with it many times yet Vortex "said" that these mods were supposed to be for Oblivion (which I don't even have in my PC and the mod I downloaded was in skyrim forum). It's weird me out, hope it's fix soon.

That would only happen if you changed the game assignment in the downloads tab. Please create your own thread if you need further help. This topic almost 2 years old and unrelated to your issue.
