daddyattitude
Has anyone though about making a Todd Coward, (Todd Howard), companion that would run and hide at the first sign of trouble and come skulking back after the fighting is done only to complain about how you didn't buy enough Atoms or Dark Nuka Rum??? MarkusTay
Would you get in trouble if you used actual Todd Howard quotes in his dialogue? Sole Survivor: "How are you in any way helping me when you keep running off?" Howard: "It just works."
HadToRegister
Or say something like "I don't see any bugs" when there's radroaches around.
MarkusTay
Don't forget his dufflebag... that he gives you, and it rips the first time you use it. I'd also do the Dark Rum Nuka as a food item that lists a heavy health gain, but then doesn't give it to you. You just get a pop-up that says, "You feel strangely unfulfilled". His quest should involve swarms of t-posing ghouls, with a final boss he calls a 'scrunch beast' that he describes like a ferocious dragon, but turns out to be a fairly mediocre Stingwing. It should also involve reading tons of terminal entries about completely irrelevant crap that has no bearing on your game.
metaphorset
We could borrow some scripting ideas from good old Sticky (FO3). His story randomizer script would be a good template for "See that X? You can Y", where X and Y are random things and actions. But why stop there? We could have a broken Synth Companion/NPC who goes by the name of Babbling Pete. If you initiate conversation, he would spout endless corporate BS about the Institute and how it would totally streamline the Wasteland experience. The Sticky story generator would also come in handy for some type of NPC in a random encounter. He would go by the name of Emil and he would exchange an "amazing story" for caps. daddyattitude
Great Ideas, Peoples. Todd Howard is a Public figure open to criticism and ridicule. If I could, I would make a Fobb Coward Comapnion. Why? Because It really needs to be done.
StormWolf01
Eh, I personally don't think that I could stand having him around as a companion. especially if I was playing where I could only have one companion with me. Tho, it would definitely make sense if you were playing a vanilla game where the companions were constantly in your way, and you're cussing them out to GTFO! cuz you can't get out of a room, or access the safe you're wanting to crack.LOL Maybe as a spawn grenade, like ya throw the grenade, he draws all the enemy fire, and you go laying into the mobs while they're all busy chasing him around. :D
